2. Our company
• We are a small, British based independent film company, who focus on
social realism films, as social realism we feel is the best genre for low-
budget film-making such as that which we make. The companies which
helped us fund, produce and distribute this film were:
• Shoot and Play Productions – A larger independent film company who
work with a larger budget and therefore are willing to lend us money
providing they make it back with added costs, and they can also help us in
the production stage as they also produce social realism films.
• Scribble Pictures – A Hollywood film company, who have made huge
profits on films in the sports genre, so we decided to work with them for
two reasons, to enhance our budget, and to gain more experience in
making a sports film.
• Touch Distribution – Our main distributor. They have experience in
distributing independent, low budget films so we are paying them to
distribute ours
With the company idents, we wanted to keep the opening very simplistic, and
we wanted the vast majority of the focus to be on the action that is occurring
in the film. We did make alternative, more colourful idents but we decided
against putting them in because it would take away from the genre of the
film, and make it seem more Hollywood than we actually wanted it to.

3. • This is the first of our production company idents, and it is very
simplistic, the effect is one where it moves on to the screen and
there are glows, shadows and outlines that come in ad out to
eventually just leave the name of the company, with the big ‘Y’
‘containing’ all the rest of the letters.

4. • Another simplistic ident, where the letters simply rise and
fall individually into place. There is a slight blue glow but
nothing that will distract the audience from the actual
storyline, again the font is simple, and clear, with the big ‘I’
linking the two parts to the name of the company.

5. • This ident is more adventurous in terms of the effect but
the font, the colours and the rest are still very very
simple, the effect is very professional and the letters all sort
of swivel in, giving a polished off ident, clearly showing the
name of our distributor.
