The document provides feedback on a soap opera advertisement project. 4.  The feedback we got was very useful to us. For now and also for future references. It
showed us what worked well and what didn’t and what was needed in order to
improve our work. I learnt that our Main Task showed clearly that we managed to follow
the codes and conventions of a soap opera advert. Editing the footage on Adobe
Premiere Pro helped a lot to achieve this. The cross cutting used in the scenes helped to
build up the tension and drama needed to create a tense atmosphere. It seemed to be
the most effective; because we got very similar positive feedback from different people
it was safe to say that it was a valid feedback and its not just the opinion of one person.

5.  Use more stories and actors.
 Use faster paced editing to build up more

 Music was more suited to a crime thriller
rather than drama/romance.
 Some locations were slightly dull and not as
interesting, need to be more vibrant and
eye catching.

6.  The constructive criticism that we got was very useful
as it helped us realised what did work well with our
audience; which will be ideal for future references. I
realised that we couldn’t make our main task as
effective as we wanted it to be as we didn’t have
enough actors to do so. This was one of one of our
main problems. We managed to gather a few
people to act in our soap trailer but obviously it
wasn’t as effective as we wanted it to be. One of our
group member got a feedback via twitter about
making the relationship with the couple more
recognisable which is true, and was something we
didn’t take into consideration during the production
of our main task.
