The main social group represented in our product is the
teenage age range. We used this social group as it is often
     portrayed in a negative may by the media. Many
  stereotypes are often linked associated with teenagers
 which the media blows out of proportion such as, young
  mothers, knife and gun crime and many other negative
                           things.
•   Another social group that is represented is the young male adult
    group, our thriller represents this group in a negative way which
    reinforces the stereotypes portrayed by the media. It portrays this
    group as a violent group which seek vengeance at any opportunity. A
    scene where this happens is where the two young men clash shoulders
    and 1 of the men seeks his revenge.
•   Another social group represented by our thriller is the
    ethnic minority social group. In recent times ethnic
    minority group have been in the news constantly for all
    the wrong reason and as a result a bad stigma has been
    attached with them. In our film the main actors both from
    an ethnic minority group live up to their stereotype by
    attempting to carry out acts of violence.
•   We represented this social groups in these ways
    because we wanted to allow our target audience to
    relate to the characters and form an emotional bond
    with them an so they in a sense the feel what the
    characters are going from and see things from their
    view point. Something which will hopefully enhance
    their viewing pleasure.
•   By portraying this social groups in this way, it alerts our
    audience of people who are similar to the characters in
    the thriller, that violence is not an acceptable form of
    behaviour and that it only leads to pain and suffering. It
    can also act as a deterrent to stop them from displaying
    violent forms of behaviour in the future.
