The document evaluates forearm muscle fatigue from operating a motorcycle clutch. It describes a study where participants operated a motorcycle clutch with an existing design requiring 98N of force and an alternate design requiring 36N of force. Surface electromyography was used to measure muscle fatigue in the forearm muscles over a 60 minute simulated ride. Results showed median frequency of EMG signals decreased more for the existing design, indicating greater muscle fatigue, while the alternate lower force design resulted in much less fatigue.
