In what ways does your media product use,
develop or challenge forms and conventions
              of real media products?
                                    Large masthead to
                                    dominant upper part of
                                    magazine.

                                   I decided to do a
                                   conventional magazine
                                   just because I didn’t want
Large medium it too look out of place or
shot picture to be odd compared to other
    main feature of magazines.
    front cover.

                                    I have made my magazine
Barcode given to conventional by using one
make more large image. Which Is used in
realistic and seem other different magazines.
more authentic.
How does your media product
    represent particular social groups?
 My Magazine represents a hip-hop convention which is for mostly teenagers
    and young adults.
 My magazine contains male models with a mostly black and white theme.
As hip hop artist are supposed to be ‘hard’ and not ‘soft’. So this is
represented by the colour scheme I have decided to use.
 The cover contents and double page spread features a young model. This
shows its for the younger target audience and wouldn’t really suit an older
    generation.
What kind of media institution might
 distribute your media product and
                why?
 There are number of different institutions that could distribute my magazine.

                     Musicmags distributes magazines to
                     America and Canada.

Altogether this As they sale around
distributor seems the world I could make
to be perfect for a lot of profit.
       my magazine.

                           Specifically specializes in
                           music magazines. And this
                           would be perfect for my
                           magazine to be distributed by
                           this provider.
Who would be the audience for
        your music magazine?
 My magazine would have the target audience for males 15+ as its very
professional and the complexity of the words would be for someone ages
    15+.
 Because the magazines colour scheme is mostly neutral colours like black
and white this hip hop magazine is targeting the male audience.
 I've called my magazine Rap-Up for a reason as there are a lot of male
people especially teenagers who like rap.
 I made my title straight to the point and striking so that the audience kno
exactly what this magazine is about.
How did you attract/address your
              audience?
 I researched how other magazines attracted there audience. And what
features and conventions they used to gain a lot of readers.
 This way I could incorporate these ideas to help inspire me to create the
exact magazine I wanted. I emerged these ideas with my own to give my
own personal ideas of what I thought made my magazine good.
 I used a big masthead and dominant image to attract the audience.

I noticed that most conventions of
magazines is that there is a big
                         bold image dominating the front
                         cover.

I used the xxl as inspiration on what
makes a good front cover of a
magazine. I used the hat and watch
to convey that most hip-hop artist like
to look good and have all the
                         expensive diamonds and clothes
                         whilst trying to look mean.
What have you learnt about
    technologies from the process of
       constructing this product?
 Since first starting my magazine I have become more aware of the details
    and conventions needed.
 Before I started making my magazine I used to just take pictures of any shot
whether it being long shot or medium or close up. I never used to be aware
of how a different kind of shot can make a magazine become so much
different. Now I use a variety of shots to portray what I am trying to get
    across to the audience.
 For one of my fonts I used dafont.com this was also new to me and so was
blogger. I learnt how to upload my work and how to use fonts from websites
and place it on my magazine. I had never used Photoshop to this level
before but I found it really easy after using it for a lesson how to navigate
and find the different tools I needed for my magazine.
Looking back at your preliminary
task, what do you feel you have
learnt in the progression from it to
              the full product?
 Since doing my preliminary task I feel I have been able to gain and identify
    different media techniques.
 I feel a lot more confident and independent with my work. Ino how to use
things like blogger and Photoshop really confidently.
 My photography skills have improved massively and ino a variety of different
    shots to use.
 I understand that detail can make a massive improvement on my work.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?  Since first starting my magazine I have become more aware of the details and conventions needed.  Before I started making my magazine I used to just take pictures of any shot whether it being long shot or medium or close up. I never used to be aware of how a different kind of shot can make a magazine become so much different. Now I use a variety of shots to portray what I am trying to get across to the audience.  For one of my fonts I used dafont.com this was also new to me and so was blogger. I learnt how to upload my work and how to use fonts from websites and place it on my magazine. I had never used Photoshop to this level before but I found it really easy after using it for a lesson how to navigate and find the different tools I needed for my magazine.
