● Originally group 16 wanted to go with “Paramount
pictures” as our distribution company as they had
been involved in films that we would compare our
film to; for example Collateral starring Tom Cruise
and Mission impossible, also starring Tom Cruise.
We did a significant amount of research into the
types of films this company has been involved in and
also the quantity which we were impressed by,
however during the editing process we had some
technical problems which didn’t allow us to go forth
with this idea so instead we decided to create a
college based IDENT using a burning candle under
the name of simply “Group 16.”

● Looking back I feel like this drawback actually became
beneficial later on during the project. I think our new
production company would appeal more to our target
audience as they would be students also, I feel that
although our setting was not in a education facility
that our IDENT and age of the actors used alone
could allow the audience to relate to our film. These
types of films rely heavily on social network
distribution like Facebook, twitter etc because they
do not have the budget to pay for out-of-home
advertising unlike films like James Bond's- “Skyfall.”
and “The Sweeney.” Therefore I think that this
makes our film better suited to CANDI studios and
not so much paramount and Warner Bro's

● CANDI Studios- Group 16 is better suited
to distribute our film because it's more
     of an independent distribution
company, and in terms of reputation
     these underground films are better
because where the film lacks in
finances they make up for in overall
storyline and feel to the movie. Base-9
