Abstract— Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) brain tumor image classification is a difficult task due to the variance and complexity of tumors. This paper presents an efficient techniques for the classification of the magnetic resonance brain images. In this work we are taking MR images as input; MRI which is directed into internal cavity of brain and gives the complete image of the brain. The proposed technique consists of two stages.In the first stage, discrete wavelet transform is used for dimensionality reduction and feature extraction.In the second stage, classification is performed using the probabilistic neural network. The classifier have been used to classify real MR images as benign (non-cancerous) and Malignant (cancerous). Probabilistic neural network (PNN) with image and data processing technique is employed to implement an automated brain tumor classification. The use of artificial intelligent technique has shown great potential in this field.

Cccnc using content-based filtering in a system of recommendation in the co...Elaine Cecília Gatto
Recommendation systems provide suggestions based on information about the preferences of users. The filtering information is used by recommender systems for the processing of information and suggestions to users and content-based filtering is an approach to filtering information widely used in recommender systems. Content-Based Filtering on analyzing the correlation of the content of items with the profile, suggesting relevant items and discarding the irrelevant. Widely used on the Internet, recommendation systems are being studied for use in the context of Digital TV, there are already several studies in this direction. Just as occurs on the Internet, recommendation systems can be used in Digital TV for recommendation of TV programs, advertising and publicity and also electronic commerce. Thus, the items in the context of digital TV, may be programs, publicity / advertising and the products to be sold. Applying Content Filtering Based on the recommendation of programs, for example, it should correlate the content of these programs with user preferences, which in this scenario are the types of programs he has preferred to watch. This paper presents the studies performed with Content Filtering Based on Data Applied to Digital TV. The studies seek to observe and evaluate how some techniques of content-based filtering can be used in recommendation systems in the context of Digital TV
Advanced Fuzzy Logic Based Image Watermarking Technique for Medical ImagesIJARIIT
The segmentation algorithms vary for the types of medical images such as MRI, CT, US, etc.The current study work
can further be extended to develop a GUI tool based approach for separating the ROI. Additionally, a new technique of
separating ROI form the original image that will be applicable for all type of medical images can be evolved. Separated ROI
can be stored with xmin, xmax, ymin and ymax value so that at the end of embedding process before transmitting watermarked
image, the segmented ROI can be attached with watermarked image. Any medical image watermarking approach will be
suitable, if we segment the ROI from medical image with the four values, then embedding of watermark can be done on whole
medical image, in this paper work on different scan like ctscan ,brain scan etc. our results significant high than other.
The International standards landscape for IoT in SmartHomeir. Carmelo Zaccone

POF has recently emerged as a low-cost alternative to traditional twisted pair copper cabling in Home & SoHo. POF offers several benefits to the user amongst which the ease of installation is particularly significant (can even be cut with a simple pair of scissors). POF is lightweight, robust & uses red LED which makes it safe for the user’s vision. This feature is of extra benefit to the installer because this light is extremely clear for the eye & therefore help to diagnose if the data communication link is operational.
Significant upgrades on access technologies have enabled operators to deliver to their subscriber bandwidth capacities such as symmetrical Gigabit connection.
CatchUP TV, VR, gaming, HD/4K such as FacebookLife pushes another limit to the transmission inside the houses that only a simple, fast, unbreakable, performant & low-priced technology can answer. These progresses advocate for the lifting of the house networking infrastructures to be complemented with a sustainable & reliable network backbone reaching every rooms.

-- IoT, from a geek buzzword to a multi billion business economy -- ir. Carmelo Zaccone
-- IoT, from a geek buzzword to a multi billion business economy --
After so many years of living in the shadow of geeks and computer freaks, Internet of Thing is finally gaining momentum. The concept of computer's controlled equipements (eg. M2M, WSM) is probably as old as the ICT industry. Nowadays this field of the industry is widely known as the Internet of Things and it's closely binded to two others majors technology trends such as Big Data & Semantic Web.
Indeed, the extension to the residential home automation (eg. Lockitron keyless door, Nest thermostat, Lifx lightbulb, Koubachi plant monitoring, Fifthplay or HW-Group energy & water monitoring) & wellfare/well-being (eg. Withings Fitbit body scale, Everspring Co2/Temperature/Humidity) businesses, the health/fitness domains (eg. Withings blood pressure & heart monitoring), the entertainment arena (eg. Netflix or Apple OTT set-top boxes, Interaxion brain wiring, Samsung SmartTV), or the broad set of dailylife objects such as wearable computing (eg. Google or Vuzix glasses, i'm or Sony Smartwatches, Jawbone or Nike+ wristband, Hydratech O.R.B rings) have raise huge interest and awareness in the global economy.
The way these connected devices gets financed is also going disruptive. While various project still get funding through the classical models of business angels and VC, the trend of crowdfunding sites (eg. Kickstarter, Indigogo) enable entrepreneurs to kick off without any shares dilution.
Most business successes are often binded to technology evolution, standardisation organisation (eg. IEEE, IETF, GS1/EPCglobal,ITSA) and international consortium (eg. IoTC, Wearable Technologies , GSMA Connected Car).
The IoT business count numerous of these from last meters wireless harvesting (eg. bluethooth, zigbee, z-Wave, EnOcean, WiFi, LiFi, RFid/Mifare), embedded system hardware platform (eg. Arduino, Raspberry PI, Open picus, Ninja Blocks) to infrastructure & data protocol (eg. 6LowPAN, http RESTfull, EAN ONS, Fibaro) and software developper frameworks (eg. OpenRemote, SmartThings, App.net, Sen.se). Even our cars becomes connected leaded by automotive players such as Ford Sync/Applink, BMW ConnectedDrive, Renaud R-Link, Audi Connect, Toyota Entune, GSMA MirrorLink, etc.
Belgium is a country full of clever entrepreneurs and counts numerous startups acting in this connected world: Skylane open.yoursen.se, Vision Smart pic2shop, Arguslabs Jini, TagTagCity, Carambla, Getyoo, Vigo Robotics, Enerban, Selinko, Nomics, HMI Products, Uniwan, etc
The Walloon region also hold two technology clusters for that field, Infopole Smarthome & Infopole Connected Objects. It as also some dedicated research centers such as CETIC, IBBT, Multitel, etc.
By 2020, analysts predict that the planet will count 50 billions device connected to the Internet. This incredible crow is leading a immensely large business which will reduce the border between the real world and the virtual digital one.
Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

MeshGrid, a new scalable mesh representation developed by ETRO and adopted by MPEG-4.
Over the years, ETRO pioneered the work in many fields, including:
• the first designs of a lossless lifting scheme for wavelet transforms;
• the design of fast algorithms for wavelet transform
implementations;
• the design of embedded multiple description scalar quantization;
• the development of new scalable image, video and 3D graphics
coding architectures, with significant impact at standardization
level, both in the JPEG and MPEG committees;
• etc.
