The document discusses ethics in the workplace at UCSB. It defines ethics as doing the right thing and having to do with moral duty. It notes that UCSB has an obligation to stakeholders to properly manage resources. Potential consequences of wrongdoing are outlined, such as negative impacts. Specific areas of concern are then discussed, like travel reimbursement, conflicts of interest, and personal use of resources. Tools are provided to help with ethical decision making, like asking questions, reviewing policies, and consulting experts. The overall message is to think like a taxpayer, be above-board, and do the right thing with university resources and duties.
Ethical Dilemmas in Collection Development of Open Access Electronic ResourcesNASIG
All across the nation, universities are being called into critical conversations about social justice. The ALA Code of Ethics calls on librarians to “uphold the principles of intellectual freedom” and “distinguish between our personal convictions and professional duties.” Our ethics shape our engagement in these critical conversations. In my presentation, I will address the ethical dilemmas raised in open access electronic resources from predatory journals, to article processing charges (APCs), to xenophobic collections. We will discuss how our professional ethics are applicable to and stretched by the goals of open access. Real examples of ethical dilemmas will be shared for open discussion.
Building a Plan to Help Educators Through the OCR Resolution ProcessKevin Rydberg
The OCR resolution process has a tendency to induce panic in educators nationwide. This presentation will give you the perspective you need to not only get through a resolution, but to build a scalable process for your unique needs.

Every organization and every person has a spend culture.
Spend culture is a set of shared beliefs and practices that informs a person how, why and when money should be spent.
Whether planned or random, all organizations have a spend culture.
Culture is fluid. It evolves with time and with each additional person. Understanding your spend culture and how it affects the people who work in your organization will influence how much value you get out of your spending.

Personal Finance Professional Ethics & Standards of Practice - A Professional...milfamln
This webinar covers a high level introduction to the subject of ethics as a primer for understanding the basics of ethics (for those who may not have had any previous formal education or training in ethics). This will help to serve as a framework for approaching the discussion of case studies. A number of brief case studies will be presented, and participants will be given an opportunity to respond in text to questions posed about each case study, including how they might respond in these situations. We will then consider and discuss the case study scenario and our various responses.
Our annual series of Charity Seminars held across the region will this year focus on the various elements involved in building a sustainable charity.
The seminar programme will cover:
• Creating a vision: How to build a resilient organisation and resilient teams
• Turning a vision into a plan: What does a good plan look like and how do you obtain funding?
• Keeping the plan on track: This session will focus on key aspects of financial reporting including the different information requirements of management and trustees
• Effective trustee boards as part of building a sustainable charity
• Real relationships that provide sustainable income
• Why are you here? Achieving impact from your fundraising messages

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.

CW RADAR, FMCW RADAR, FMCW ALTIMETER, AND THEIR PARAMETERSveerababupersonal22
It consists of cw radar and fmcw radar ,range measurement,if amplifier and fmcw altimeterThe CW radar operates using continuous wave transmission, while the FMCW radar employs frequency-modulated continuous wave technology. Range measurement is a crucial aspect of radar systems, providing information about the distance to a target. The IF amplifier plays a key role in signal processing, amplifying intermediate frequency signals for further analysis. The FMCW altimeter utilizes frequency-modulated continuous wave technology to accurately measure altitude above a reference point.
HEAP SORT ILLUSTRATED WITH HEAPIFY, BUILD HEAP FOR DYNAMIC ARRAYS.
Heap sort is a comparison-based sorting technique based on Binary Heap data structure. It is similar to the selection sort where we first find the minimum element and place the minimum element at the beginning. Repeat the same process for the remaining elements.
Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
