Introduction
Bluetooth module can be used in short-distance
wireless communication, which can be divided into
the Bluetooth module and Bluetooth voice module
according to its usage. Bluetooth module is a basic
circuit set of chip which integrated Bluetooth
functions and which can be used in wireless network
transmission
What is a Bluetooth Module?
 A Bluetooth module is a hardware component that enables wireless
communication between devices using Bluetooth technology. It
consists of a microcontroller, a Bluetooth transceiver, and associated
circuitry.
 Bluetooth modules come in various form factors, such as integrated
circuits (ICs), small circuit boards, or modules with pre-attached
antennas. They typically communicate with other Bluetooth-enabled
devices, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, or other embedded
systems, using the Bluetooth wireless standard.
 It handles the low-level Bluetooth protocol stack, allowing devices to
establish wireless connections, exchange data, and perform various
Bluetooth-related operations, such as pairing, authentication, and
encryption
BLUETOOTH MODULE
PIN CONFIGURATION OF
HC-05 MODULE
VCC
Powers the module. Connect to +5V Supply voltage
Ground
Ground pin of module, connect to system ground.
Transmitter
Transmits Serial Data. Everything received via Bluetooth will be given out
by this pin as serial data
Receiver
Receive Serial Data. Every serial data given to this pin will be
broadcasted via Bluetooth
KEY : This pin is used to toggle between Data Mode (set low) and AT command
mode (set high). By default it is in Data mode
STATE : The state pin is connected to on board LED, it can be used as a
feedback to check if Bluetooth is working properly.
WORKING
Initialization :
When a Bluetooth
module is powered
on, it goes through
an initialization
process.
Discovery : The
Bluetooth module
enters discovery
mode, where it
actively scans for
other nearby
Bluetooth devices.
Pairing: Once a
device is
discovered, the
Bluetooth module
initiates a pairing
process to establish
a secure
connection.
Connection: After
successful pairing, the
Bluetooth module
establishes a
connection, by setting
up a communication
channel, called a
Bluetooth link,
between the devices.
Data Transmission:
Once connected, the
Bluetooth module can
transmit and receive
data.
It can send various
types of data, such as
audio streams, sensor
data, file transfers etc.
