This document outlines the research project of Simona Senise as part of the SuperITN program. The project involves modifying asphalt binders with tire rubber and polymers for use in road asphalt mixes. The research will be conducted over 3 years in collaboration with Repsol, University of Huelva, and University of Nottingham. The work is divided into 6 tasks focusing on binder characterization, mix design, and evaluation of warm mix asphalt properties. The overall goal is to write a thesis on crumb rubber modified asphalt binders and their performance in pavement applications.
