When reading an editorial and writing a review on it; there are several factors to consider. According to Stovall (2015), there are a few presentations that he listed in the book. The performances were to urge someone to do something, give enjoyment, and give facts. The editorial that I chose to view is titled “When Martin Luther King Jr. was killed, he was less popular than Donald Trump is today.” The author of the editorial is James C. Cobb. Cobb was knowledgeable on the topic because he developed a timeline throughout the article describing the events that led up to his death. In honor of his death anniversary, the author did a reminder on who was once leading America in preventing violence. Cobb did support his views with facts, which were figures and dates based on what Martin Luther King Jr. started and wanted to do before he assassinated. I was neutral with the author, which means I did not necessarily agree or disagree.

Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
