This document summarizes environmental projects and activities at a school in Fundão, Portugal. 5. Campaign "Help Us to Reuse" Fund raising campaign for used clothes, toys and baby outfits to deliver to pregnant women and families with children under 2 years old with economical difficulties. AIM OF THE CAMPAIGN: In Christmas, promote the reuse of basic indispensable products – this is a time of year in which there is an excessive consumption of goods, followed by an increase of waste production – in order to help this municipality families with fewer resources.

In this Christmas, the Municipality of Fundão has collected several items as, for instance: - Baby bed sheets, baby towels for bathing, baby napkins and other items useful for the baby outfit. - Clothing and footwear for children up to two years; - Baby bottles and pacifiers; - 3 baby carriages; - 3 baby chairs for car transportation; - 1 meal chair for children; - 4 cots; - 2 baby mattresses; - 1 baby park.

Prague, 15 - 16 de May 2008 PRO EUROPE’s 4th International Congress in Prague Project CORK´S VALUATION From June 2007 to May 2008 young people from ten European countries and Canada have identified, assessed and shared the best environmental practices in their respective local communities. A piece of collective writing has resulted in the publication of a report entitled "YEP Report for the environment: Let’s change our daily habits!“ This Report was officially presented on the 15th May 2008 in Prague. The delegates have submitted their findings to UNESCO representatives, who have committed to consider their contributions as part of the DESD 2nd Biennial Report.

Ecological Responsability Belongs to Everyone ( Publisged in “Olho Vivo”, the school newpaper”) ‏ “ On December 10 the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of the Human Rights was celebrated. Because quality of life is also a right and demands many responsabilities, we decided to commemorate this date to make society conscious of this problem common to all men: the destruction of the environment. In the field trip we made on the 26th to Castro Covilhã Velha (photograph on the right), considered National Heritage, in Serra das Casinhas, we found during the beautiful walk around Nature a pile of garbage, including plastic objects such as boxes, bottles and bags, as we can see on the photograph on the left. We were shocked and we call everyone’s attention to such a negative portair of human action. We ask everybody not to spoil nature, do not drop garbage on our forests, not even a bubble gum. It is necessary to protect the environment and our Heritage. We are conscious of the fact that the future of Humanity and the Earth depends on us.
