Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange is a groundbreaking project enabling youth in
Europe and the Southern Mediterranean to engage in meaningful
intercultural experiences, as part of their formal or non-formal education.
Through a range of activities, Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange aims to expand the
reach and scope of the Erasmus+ programme through Virtual Exchanges,
which are technology-enabled people-to-people dialogues sustained over a
period of time.

Three Virtual Exchange programmes connecting
young people in non-formal discussions from
various countries to each other for exposure to
diverse views and cultures, language exchange
and practice, and employability skills.
Online Facilitated Dialogues
Professional development for youth workers and
university educators to learn how to develop a
Transnational Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange Project
(TEP) in order to enrich and expand existing
programmes.
Training to Develop
Virtual Exchange Projects
Bringing young people from different backgrounds
together to develop parliamentary debate skills
with the support of a network of trained debate
facilitators, fostering listening and understanding
through advocacy training.
Advocacy Training
Access open online courses across cultural
contexts and national boundaries to learn with
peers from diverse backgrounds using bite-sized
video lectures, supported by skill building activities
and facilitated intercultural discussions.

A learning journey to open up teaching in higher education
Learning Outcomes
After having taken this course, learners will be able to:
• Understand the potential advantages of adopting OER and open
education approaches in different contexts
• Understand how content released under different kinds of open
licences can be reused and apply open licenses to your content
• Search for, reuse and remix OER
• Understand what MOOCs are and how to produce MOOCs
• Adapt OER and MOOCs to your specific context.
• Incorporate open educational practices into your daily teaching.

  • 3. www.europa.eu/youth/erasmusvirtual Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange is a groundbreaking project enabling youth in Europe and the Southern Mediterranean to engage in meaningful intercultural experiences, as part of their formal or non-formal education. Through a range of activities, Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange aims to expand the reach and scope of the Erasmus+ programme through Virtual Exchanges, which are technology-enabled people-to-people dialogues sustained over a period of time. What is Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange?
  • 4. www.europa.eu/youth/erasmusvirtual Three Virtual Exchange programmes connecting young people in non-formal discussions from various countries to each other for exposure to diverse views and cultures, language exchange and practice, and employability skills. Online Facilitated Dialogues Professional development for youth workers and university educators to learn how to develop a Transnational Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange Project (TEP) in order to enrich and expand existing programmes. Training to Develop Virtual Exchange Projects Bringing young people from different backgrounds together to develop parliamentary debate skills with the support of a network of trained debate facilitators, fostering listening and understanding through advocacy training. Advocacy Training Access open online courses across cultural contexts and national boundaries to learn with peers from diverse backgrounds using bite-sized video lectures, supported by skill building activities and facilitated intercultural discussions.
