Around 3200-2000 BC, a new civilization known as the Cycladic emerged on the small islands of the Cyclades in the Aegean Sea during the Bronze Age. Early Cycladic figurines, typically depicting naked female figures, are considered the most important works of Cycladic art. Made almost entirely of marble, these simple, fat figurines varied in size and included schematic violin-shaped types as well as more naturalistic Plastiras and Louros types named for archeological sites where they were discovered. Scholars have proposed different interpretations of the symbolic significance of these Cycladic figurines.

This document contains biographies of two influential 20th century artists, Yiannis Moralis and Pablo Picasso. It describes that Moralis was a Greek painter who studied in Athens, Rome, and Paris and helped establish the "Armos" art group in Greece. Picasso was a Spanish painter who spent most of his career in France and co-founded Cubism. He is renowned for works like Les Demoiselles d'Avignon and Guernica. The document also notes that these two painters were chosen because geometric shapes are clearly visible in their works, demonstrating how math can be applied to art.
Paul Klee was a Swiss-German artist born in 1879 who was influenced by Cubism and Surrealism. He was interested in color theory and taught lectures on it. Klee was born in Switzerland to a German music teacher and Swiss singer, and was encouraged to develop his music skills from a young age by taking violin lessons. He met his wife Lily Stumpf while studying in Munich, and they had a son together in 1907. Klee taught at the Bauhaus and was inspired by a trip to Egypt to incorporate brighter colors in his works. He passed away in 1940 at the age of 60.
