This document discusses the benefits that a Greek school has received from its participation in the European Union's Erasmus+ program for the past 40 years since Greece joined the EU. 2. Benefits of our EU membership in our school.
It has been forty years since Greece joined the European Union (EU) in 1981, named at
the time European Economic Community.
Our school receives funding for European Erasmus + programs from 2017. In this way,
our school can carry out innovative actions for the organization. Especially the
programs that include mobility with students give the opportunity to the children to
experience more intensely, to work together for life and to show their potential.

3. By participating in the Erasmus + program, students and teachers reaped the
benefits of collaboration, group action and interdisciplinary approach to a
variety of school subjects while at the same time being given the opportunity to
exchange views with their classmates and colleagues respectively in Europe.
Visits to schools abroad help students learn about other countries 'education
systems, appreciate the value of diversity, make new friends and spend a week
with their European classmates' families trying a different way of life.
