Students held school-wide assembly to educate their peers on the hurtfulness of the "R" word.

1. <br /> <br />March 4, 2010 Bonnette’s Meet in the Middle students held a school-wide assembly to kick off the “Erase the ‘R’ Word” pledge campaign. Students performed skits, sang songs, and gave testimonies addressing the hurtfulness of the ‘R’ word. Kirby Langseth, a senior at Deer Park High School and older sibling to a special needs brother, was the keynote speaker. Video clips were shown to add to the impact of the message.The following day, over 70% of the Bonnette student body signed took the pledge to Erase the ‘R’ Word!<br /> <br />
