End-users are typically not ready for an Oracle audit. Either since a) end-users are not even aware of the fact that they are under License Audit since Oracle send them a request to do a License or Business Review, b) end-users think that they are covered since they have an Oracle Verified Tool in place or c) end-users underestimating the level of detail that is required in order to manage the complexity related to Oracle software licenses. Once such a License Audit is announced for the Oracle Database, Application server, Weblogic, SOA Suite, Siebel, JD Edwards, E-Business Suite or PeopleSoft programs is started, end-users should consider a number of things before starting with the audit. These considerations should include what (confidential) data is required to be collected during the audit and for what reason? How will the data be collected and can the collected data leave your premises? Which results are shared when and with whom from the vendors’s organisation? What is the performance impact of the Oracle Audit Tools proposed? What will the vendor do with the audit, where will it be stored and who can access the collected data?
At the same time, end-user organisations should not be afraid about an audit from Oracle (or any other software vendor) and should focus on the best defence strategy: take the control yourselves! This can be achieved by performing regulated internal license audits in which the real entitlements (including all the terms and conditions of the related documentation like the program documentation) are compared with the real deployment and usage of the different software programs. End-users should prioritise software license management at C-level, in which the appropriate budget is made available for dedicated specialists/resources to manage the software assets in a proper way. From a management perspective its even rather strange that the average end-user does not have a dedicated (large engouh) budget available for the management of assets which typically contributes to 50-70% of the total IT costs within an end-user organisation

Essay Assignment #3Required length 5-7 pages, not including th.docxrusselldayna
Essay Assignment #3
Required length: 5-7 pages, not including the Works Cited
This assignment requires students to use the ideas from our readings to develop a research project on the experiences of the children of immigrants and college in the United States. Your purpose in Assignment #3 is to devise your own argument about your chosen subject and to support your argument using various sources (and your own ethnographic research if you would like to). This assignment requires you to identify a specific topic on your own and to do library research (and ethnographic research) in developing your argument: you must include direct citations from at least one (1) course reading and at least three (3) sources from the library databases. It is optional to use your own ethnographic research. In your essay, you should formulate a clear and focused thesis and provide a detailed account of your evidence.
As mentioned earlier, this assignment is to be driven largely by your own research and thinking. You should be doing library research as you write, not after you’ve completed a first draft. Research and writing are thoroughly connected. Your research process will involve reading, thinking, taking notes, and perusing the databases and other sources until you have figured out what you want to write. Then, as you continue writing, you should go back into the research process again to get new ideas or to find additional sources. Sometimes your argument shifts or changes as you find new sources, and this is a good sign that you are doing research-based writing correctly. Don’t be afraid to change direction in writing the first draft—you can always improve or clarify your draft in your revision process.
Remember that, in a short paper like this, you cannot write something meaningful about all aspects of the experiences of the children of immigrants and college in the United States, but you can make a significant argument about one or two issues in connection with this topic.
In Essay 3, you need to develop your own argument in connection with the experiences of the children of immigrants and college in the United States. You may pursue any argumentative angle that you would like. You may want to consider some of the topics raised by the authors that we read:
· Parental expectations/influence regarding education, college major, career choice
· Other influences on students’ pursuit of a college degree, choice of major/career
· Connection between parents’ work situation/financial status/work ethic and the choice to pursue a college education Comment by Zahraa Alquraini: I choose this topic
· Differences in educational attainment among different second-generation immigrant populations
· Reasons for a particular second-generation immigrant population’s high (or low) educational attainment
· Obstacles some second-generation individuals experience regarding going to college (such as poor high school education, lack of parental educational attainment, lack of .

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

1. EQUAL PAY DAY
2016 High School Essay Contest Instructions
Each year, Equal Pay Day is recognized world-wide to bring greater awareness to the wage gap
experienced by women and minorities. In the US, a mid-April date symbolically marks how far into
a new year the average woman must work to earn as much as an average man did in the previous
year. In its sixth year, Equal Pay Day Chicago is both a focal point to raise awareness of pay
equity, and a platform for organizations to collaborate across the state.
Chicago high school students are invited to participate in an essay contest to raise awareness of
pay disparity. This contest is sponsored by Equal Pay Day Chicago, a coalition of governmental
bodies, non-profits and other groups and individuals fighting together to achieve equal pay for
equal work. The following is a summary of the rules and guidelines for the competition:
Eligible Students
Any freshman, sophomore, junior or senior student currently attending a high school in the
greater Chicago metro area is eligible to participate. Two winners will be selected and contacted
by April 4, 2016 and then announced publicly during the Equal Pay Day Rally at noon in Daley
Plaza on April 12, 2016.
Criteria
The topic for this year’s competition is:
Is Pay Inequality a Problem Today and, if so, How Would You Solve It?
All essays must be submitted via email to equalpaydaychi@lycos.com by Tuesday, March 22,
2016. Essays may be submitted as word document or a PDF document, or both. The essay

Student’s name, age, grade
School, sponsoring teacher’s name and contact information (both phone and email)
Parent/guardian’s name and contact information (both phone and email)
All essays must be typed, double-spaced, 12-point font and be no more than 1,500 words.
