 Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad announced on Bursa Malaysia today that it has completed the acquisition
for the remainder 40 per cent collective equity stake in Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Uluslararasi Havalimani
Yatirim Yapim Ve Isletme A.S. (Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport).The company said in its
announcement that the acquisition was completed for a cash consideration of EUR279 million (RM1.17
billion) from Limak Insaat Ve San Tic A.S. and Limak Yatirim Energi Uretim Isletme Hizmetleri Ve Insaat A.S..
 RHB Research Institute has maintained an “overweight” call on the construction sector on strong prospects,
mainly backed by the RM73 billion Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) and other mega public
infrastructure projects.In a note, the research firm said the current strong momentum of activities should be
sustained and 2015 is poised to be another busy year for contractors.“We believe the project delivery partner
for the MRT 2’s elevated portion worth RM15 billion, namely, the joint venture between MMC abd Gamuda,
is on track to issue tenders for work packages by end-2015.
 The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (Miti)is optimistic over Malaysia’s first quarter 2015 (1Q15)
trade data amidst the uncertainty in current oil prices.Deputy‎Minister (Trade) Datuk Lee Chee Leong said
despite oil prices being expected to weaken further, the manufacturing and tourism segments are projected
to support the 1Q15 data.“Judging from the trade figures for last year, it is still slightly better as compared to
2013. Although, the ringgit has depreciated at present, I expect the two segments to balance out our trade
data.
 Maybank IB Research has maintained its ‘buy’ call on IJM Corp Bhd with a target price of RM7.40, after the
construction group bagged a RM538.5 million building construction contract from NRY Architects Sdn Bhd on
behalf of Pearl Discovery Development Sdn Bhd.The project involves the construction and completion of
structure works over 33 months for the proposed mixed development known as “Puteri Cove Residences” in
Johor Baru.In a research note today, Maybank said the job win had boosted IJM’s record outstanding
construction orderbook by a further 10 per cent to RM6.1 billion, by its estimate.
 Businesses in Malaysia will focus on improving their sales force effectiveness in facing the challenging global
economy, according to the Grant Thornton Business Report (IBR).The survey revealed that due to the
uncertainties, business owners are most likely to improve sales force effectiveness (62 per cent), expand
business overseas (40 per cent), and expand business domestically (34 per cent), Grant Thornton
International Ltd said in a statement.“The sales force is one of the most effective channels for businesses to
engage with their customers.
