Strength things I do it in this lesson, I used good manners with students I was very
confident and calm when I teach them. I controlled my voice on a good way , also
when I begging my lesson with (puppet activity) I make for them actions “ it’s little
bit scary’’. I used a good body language when I read story, also when I used in

39. Reflection
During my observe I observed the teacher before the classes started she prepares
all the activities in the table and prepares all the materials that she needed during
the class. Also I observed when she started the day she greeting the students and
ask about them , then she sings morning song with them , after that she start to
reed for them story when she finished the story she start to explain the activity
and divide the students for each activity.
Every teacher has different tips and strategies that used in her class with her
students. During my observation my teacher she prepares all things at morning
before the students come and some of other teacher they prepared after the day
finished. At the beginning of the day she explains all things in the carpet area then
divide the students for each activity. At 10:00 to 11:00 she opened the door to the
garden and keep the choice for the children if they want to go outside or playing
inside the class. Then they tidy the class with all children after she makes
something interesting in the carpet then start to eat theirlunch. At 12:00 also they
opened the door in the garden but on this time all the students go outside to play
and the teacher and TA’s take the lunch break until 12:30. After the lunch break
teacher does everyday different activity to end the day.
The teacher used differently of techniques to manage the students in the
classroom. For example use a gesture to get the attention of the students , also she
called the child's name to also get their attention. When the student didn’t listen
to the teacher and attention with her they take them to sit in timeout this one
from punishing the students or take the child to other class it’s also like a punish
them. In our class didn’t have an unusual behavior that teachers faced difficulty in
managing them.
In brief , teacher was more positive when she is dealing with managing the
students and the classroom. In this method teacher has the ability to acquire the
students' attention without doing it any misbehaviorand will be easier to manage
them.
41. Observation Task 2: Activities in a specialist class (A)
In the specialist class (e.g. ICT, PE, Islamic, special needs) observe the
activities the learnersare engagedin. In your journal today write
about these.
Activity Individual/group/class Purpose
Teacher directed/child’s
choice
Counting Group To learn the
counting
Throw the dice and take
the fishhow many they
get and counting.
Painting Individual To learn the
difference of
color and paint
Color the dinosaur and
what the name of the
color they used.
Writing Individual To learn how to
write a new word
Color the new word and
try to write with the own
without helping.
42. Reflection
During my observation I noticed the student at most attend all the class in the
weeks but some students they didn’t just one time in a whole week. That will be
not good for the students because will not develop their learning and the can’t
acquire the language and learn a new thing. Also I noticed that when teacherstart
the day in the carpet area then get it the students to the group that’s been good
because the students can get the time to be more active and attention with the
teacher.
I asked one of my children on our class she name Malak what the things do you like
it and enjoyed in the class?, she likes to create something and decorating by using “
box , color paper , glue “ and she saw me when she make like a rainbow fish made
it by the box. I think that’s way good for children because the children in this age
they can develop their skills also when someone ask them what they do that
helping them also to develop their language.
The teacher used many techniques in her classes and I noticed that during my
observation. For example , she used the gesture like a clapping or put her hand on
the her head to stop the behaving and get her attention. Also for the students who
doing behaving on her class at the first time she called the student's name and ask
them questions then if they do it again they take him to another class with another
teacher or sit him in timed out. Also she is dealing with students like her friends
and sometimes she make herself like a clown to change the routain for the class.
Briefly , I like and enjoyed many things during my observation , such as I like how
the teacher dealing with the students and communicate with them , also how the
students expect to develop their language and the skills on the all activity “ writing
, painting , thinking , discovering , designed …etc” and the students are depend on
themselves. Also during the observation I learned more things that may benefit me
in my carer educational and scientific.
43. Task 2 : Integrated subject areas (e.g. Math/Science/IT/Language) (B)
Focus: Integration
Ask your MST which e.g. maths and/or science concepts the children are learning at the
moment.Findouthowshe helpsthem to understand these ideas. Ask about how language
is part of this learning.
If you can, get a sample of any documentation of the science or maths curriculum you can
add thisto yourTP portfolio. Itwill give you an idea of the kind of concepts children at this
level can understand and also the kind of activities they are engaged in.
For example:
