1) The study aimed to assess the correlation between endothelial function measured by Angiodefender and arteriovenous fistula (AVF) maturation at 6 weeks. It also examined the role of anastomosis angle in AVF maturation. 2) The results found that endothelial function did not predict AVF maturation. An anastomosis angle below 95 degrees was associated with a 50% chance of AVF failure, though this was not statistically significant. 3) Smoking and use of ACE inhibitors/ARBs were associated with higher rates of AVF success, while other factors like age, gender, and comorbidities did not significantly impact outcomes. Larger studies are ongoing to further evaluate these relationships
