Training Course Introduction
This training course is designed to provide the essential concepts of environmental
awareness and management. This course will introduce topics on how to reduce pollution,
safely manage waste and understand the effects that processes have on the world around
us. The course also outlines legal responsibilities and provides details on how to set up an
environmental management system in the workplace.
This course has been designed to help participants develop a better understanding of how
to ensure their work practices are more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Training Course Methodology
The training course is designed to be interactive and participatory,
and includes various learning tools to enable the participants to operate
effectively and efficiently in a multifunctional environment. The course will
use lectures and presentations, exercises, experiential and exposure to
real world problems and policy choices confronting delegates.

This module outlines your and your employer’s responsibilities in regards to the
environment. The module explains what the law says in regards to environmental
protection and shows how the law is enforced should you not meet, or comply with,
environmental targets and regulations.
