EnMS-Doc Associates Business Approach
We are not to engineer.
We work with energy users to enhance their EnMS operation in
order to develop sustainable business.
EnMS: Energy Management System
We learned that energy management integrates and enhances
with the daily business practice with the following elements:
 Reduces energy cost and carbon emission at no/low cost
 Optimises capital spending for sustainable business development
 Optimises use of available resources
 Enhances worker discipline and skill
 Improves operation efficiency and quality of business output
 Improves safety of operation as energy is often cause of accidents
 Provides proper procedures for BCP as business stands without energy
EnMS together with ISO 50001 ensures energy performance
improvement with its systematic approach for the operation.
Our mission is to disseminate the superiority of EnMS to energy
users and working on a teamwork base to capitalise on the
business opportunity.

EnMS-Doc Associates
Expertise in organisation realising operational innovation
Namely, we consult and assist energy users to adapt
innovative operation to pursue continual energy
performance improvement
These three elements would stand up and perform to their
optimum design!!
We take the reverse approach…
Energy management consulting and documentation
We help energy user to use energy the most efficient way and
ensure minimising wastes so that…
Once they are competent in the best practice …
At the end, we are striving
towards the same theme:
This is what we do…

Our consultation does not end with
providing recommendations
We work with clients to come up with
solutions and action plan
“Guiding the organisation qualified to implement ISO 50001 class
EnMS operation in three (3) months”
Taking the following consulting project as an example:
We will work with appointed energy manager :
 Ensure top management declare energy policy and EnMS organisation is established
 Energy data analysis to understand energy situation and to identify EnPI
 Conduct energy review to come up with appropriate Energy Improvement action plan
 Implement EnMS operation for continual energy performance improvement action
 Conduct internal EnMS audit to full up any gaps exist
 Verify energy savings using defined EnPI and discuss in management review session for
further improvement action
EnPI: Energy Performance Indicator
We then follow up through till
clients get result and satisfied
18
Our documentation approach is
Unique and innovative
We have ready-made ISO 50001 class
Key management documents enabling
to convert them into proprietary documents
The ready-made documents take enormous amount of burden (money and
time) out of organisation creating from the scratch
Additionally, we can design, create ISO 50001 class documentation tailored
to energy user organisation requirements
19
We can provide services related to
“competence, training and awareness”
Our programme focuses on
practical aspects using case studies
Our session is two-way communication,
Respecting participants business background
Visiting “3-day ISO 50001 class EnMS Workshop” conducted in Singapore (Apr.2013):
Gary Chu (Vector

Ltd.), certified CMVP®
expert provides his view on
the regression analysis
during the workshop
session.
Winston Tan, Assistant Manager, Energy Efficiency & Conservation Department, National
Environment Agency Singapore (NEA) presents New Energy Conservation Act.
PUB team in action..
Testimonial: Mr. Nobby, it was pleasure to know you. Before attending the workshop, I was preparing myself for a boring 3-day
training sessions as most of ISO related training were too theoretical . However to my surprise, your approach was totally anew
and inspiring. Sample of documents were provided and focus were more on daily practices such as data analysis, etc.

Our EnMS starts with “Waste” elimination…
With Waste Management, organisation can improve energy

“WASTE” by segregating “Environmental” & “Energy” issues6
25
If you cannot see “Energy” movement, you can neither
see where “WASTE” exists nor how to implement
“Kaizen”.
“Energy” is a set of creatures running around your
buildings and factories without interruption.
“WASTE” by not being able to “see”1
“Putting Energy Efficient Actions off” means allowing
“Energy loss” to continue.
In other words, compromising to “profit loss”
“WASTE” by “putting things off”2

26
Capable person says “difficult but possible”, for action.
Average person says “possible but difficult”, for status
quo.
“WASTE” by compromising to cliché “too difficult”3
“Lean Energy” is to be practiced by everyone.
It is trivially common that everyone is destined to be “busy”
Superior company manages to set up system to act
positively while making people “busy”
“WASTE” by compromising to cliché “too busy”4
How to distinguish
“capable” and “average” person

27
Give your “cost saving target”, then capable people will
follow and achieve.
“How much can you save?”
“What is the payback period?”
No one can provide assured answers!!
Because “Lean energy” is to be implemented by people.
“WASTE” by worrying “risk” too much5
“Lean Energy” action is the most positively significant
impact for the “Environmental Improvement”, while
achieving cost reduction.
“WASTE” by segregating “Environmental” & “Energy” issues6
Saving target:
1% and achieved 1%
10% and achieved 5%
But which gives more
benefit to company?
Target Achieved!!
Target Not

Eliminating Energy “WASTE” through “Lean Energy
