This English syllabus outlines a class on listening to telephone conversations. The class will last 2 periods of 45 minutes each. Students will practice identifying general and specific information from examples of short, simple transactional and interpersonal telephone conversations. They will also practice taking notes on expressions used and completing scripts of conversations. Assessment will include objective tests, writing tests, and observation checklists to evaluate students' comprehension, note-taking, and cooperation during activities. Learning resources will include audio recordings of telephone conversations from BBC learning websites and exercises.
