The World Bank offers the Robert S. McNamara Fellowships Program which provides up to $25,000 for PhD candidates to conduct development-related research at a host institution in a World Bank member country under a research advisor. Eligible candidates must be citizens of developing countries, under 35, have a master's degree and have completed PhD coursework and exams. Successful fellows return home upon completion to work. Applications for 2015 funding are open from January 7 to February 11 through the World Bank Scholarships Program website.
