2. WHAT?
Monetary donations should not be restricted
to enable wise usage of funds.
Donators shouldn't donate money to any
disaster which makes the news headlines but
instead donate to smaller emergencies.

3. WHY?
Japan is a wealthy country which is responding
well to the disaster.
It’s still unclear how or where organisations
intend on spending the money that they are
raising.
Money is not the bottleneck issue in
disasters like the Japan earthquake.
The organisation "Globalgiving" was created to
support projects where the lack of money is
much more of a problem than it is in Japan.

7. CASE STUDY: HAITI EARTHQUAKE
Many started donating money to help Haiti
after the earthquake, which was not
necessarily a good thing because...
very little that could be done

like Haiti by throwing them

and Red Cross
Remember Haiti as a good example, that
simply donating money is not necessarily
effective
