Compound Sentence
A compound sentence is composed of two simple sentences
joined together by a comma (,) and a coordinating conjunction.
There are seven coordinating conjuction in English:
5. for
1. and
6. nor
2. but
7. yet
3. so
4. or
Example:
- The bride may have one bridesmaid, or she may have
several.
- The bride may heve one bridesmaid or several.
- They wanted to get married immediately, but they decide to
wait until June.
- They wanted to get married immediately but decide to wait
until June.
Complex Sentence

- Since Harry wrecked his car, he has had no way to get to
dependent clause
