As Engineering Geologist involved in all aspects of geotechnical work including

Geotechnical investigations, including foundation solutions and quarry

laboratory programs execution, results evaluation in the light of ASTM, BS and
other relevant internationally accepted standards, and report writing.
Preparation of proposals, pre-qualification documents, tender documents for
geotechnical, material investigation and piling works; and
Engineering geological mapping, geological data acquisition, 3D geological
modeling, presentation of data in the form of geological maps, cross sections, 3D
subsurface geological models.
Construction supervision of tunnels and large underground caverns by Drill and
Blast method.
Geotechnical investigations along the tunnel route using different
Geomechanical systems (Q system and RMR) and their correlation for support
requirement.
Supervision of drilling, installation and grouting of Strand and Bar anchors in
Power House and Transformer Hall cavern as permanent support.
Supervision of drilling, installation and grouting of convergence stations
multipoint Extensometer for rock mass deformation measurement and
Supervision of Consolidation grouting for highly fractured rock.
Supervision of In-situ stress measurement through Hydro Jacking tests in
manifold area of the Headrace tunnel at Neelum Jhelum Hydroelectric Project.
Excellent skill in handling geological and geotechnical software including ,

NESPAK in a joint venture with M/s MWH Inc. USA has been awarded consultancy services as Owner's
Engineer for the 102 MW Gulpur Hydropower Project. The project is expected to be completed by
December 2018 with a capability of generating an average annual energy of 465 Gwh. The project site is
located in the Kotli District of AJ&K about 5 km South of Kotli Town on the Poonch River, a tributary of
the Jhelum River. The project financing has been provided by the Korea Exim Bank, Asian Development
Bank (ADB), International Finance Corporation (IFC), Islamic Development Bank and ECO Bank.
Duties performed:
 Ensuring the safety and quality of the construction work
 Geotechnical investigations along the tunnel route and assessment of support design using different
Geomechanical system
 Review and comment on the contractor submittals including tunnel continuity maps, inlet and outlet
slope protection for diversion tunnels, method statements for final sprayed shotcrete lining for
diversion tunnels and slope protection works for powerhouse

Activities
The Neelum–Jhelum Hydropower Plant is part of an under construction run of the river Hydroelectric power
scheme designed to divert water from the Neelum River to a power station on the Jhelum River. A total stretch
of the tunnel is about 52 km with two large underground caverns. The power station is located in Azad
Kashmir, 22 km (14 mi) south of Muzaffarabad and will have an installed capacity of 969 MW.
Duties performed:
 To ensure the safety and quality of the construction work
 Geotechnical investigations along the tunnel route and assessment of support design using different
Geomechanical systems (Q system and RMR).
 Making comparison of different Geomechanical systems for evaluation of support requirement.
 Geotechanical mapping of Adits, Main Headrace Tunnel, Tailrace Tunnel, Power House, Transformer
hall, crane beam segment, Penstocks and Shaft sinking for the evaluation of support using the Barton’s
Q system.
 Construction supervision and quality control of the following rock support installation
 Shotcrete (Plain/Fiber reinforced)
 Rock bolts (fully grouted, expansion shell, swellex)
 Wiremesh, steel ribs, lattice girders)
 Installation of 10m long bar anchors and 15m strand anchors, grouting and prestressing
