This report provides a comparative analysis of two Chinese herbal medicine shops located in different regions. The businesses analyzed are Poh Aun Tong Medical Hall in Georgetown, Penang and Huah Shan Medical Hall in Klang Valley, Selangor. Information was collected through interviews at each shop. The report finds that Huah Shan Medical Hall is more commercially successful due to a higher annual revenue, larger customer base, and wider product selection. Several recommendations are provided to help both businesses improve, such as hiring more staff and advertising.
