The sun provides energy to Earth through various processes. Radiation transfers heat from the sun through space. When light from the sun hits objects, some of the energy is reflected back as reflection. Convection, conduction, and absorption are additional ways that the sun's energy is transferred and taken up by objects on Earth through the movement and absorption of heat.
