2. INTRODUCTION This project aims at saving electricity. It's a very good and an innovative idea.......to save our precious ENERGY RESOURCES. It utilizes our basic knowledge and the specific requirement of ELECTRICITY by the people of a particular place...
3. BASIC CONSTRUCTS It is basically a REAL TIME CLOCK that displays the following data :1. TIME2.DAY3.DATE4.SUNSET TIME (IF ASKED TO DISPLAY)5.SUNRISE TIME (IF ASKED TO DISPLAY) It also enables us to set MULTIPLE ALARMS. The sunset and sunrise time act as triggers for the switching of lights. It sets the light intensity required by the user at that time automatically , and hence we make judicious use of electricity(this prospect makes it an energy saving device).

12. DESIGN It is designed using Arduino mega board , a USB cable connected to a computer.
13. IMPLEMENTATION This project is just a simulation of a real life project . Here we will demonstrate it using the Arduino kit .THE REAL PROJECT IS THE ADVANCED FORM OF THIS PROJECT ONLY....i.e. a single LED in this project will be replaced by a number of street lights (to be controlled) in the real project.
14. IMPORTANCE This project is easy to use and install and has a number of advantages. All the settings are to be done by the user during the time of installation only...once installed, it requires no maintenance. It describes the best way of saving electricity without human intervention . It can also be used as a digital clock that displays time and date and has multiple alarm properties.
15. FUTURISTIC APPROACH This project can be used anywhere in the world, its database adjusts itself according to the present latitude, longitude and time zone entered by the user. It can be used to automate street lights in an housing society, hostel, park, hotel corridors and in college premises or anywhere you wish to install it.
