This presentation deals with the issue of endosulfan use in Kerala. Endosulfan is an organochlorine insecticide and acaricide that is toxic to many insects and mites. It has been used in large quantities by farmers in Tamil Nadu and other states on their crop fields due to its low cost and ability to increase yields. However, endosulfan poisoning has led to many deaths and health issues in Kerala. The government needs to consider banning endosulfan to protect human lives and the future generations.
