Multicasting is the delivery of a message or information to a group of destination computers simultaneously in a single transmission from the source. The copies of the messages are automatically created in other network elements like routers but only when the topology of the network requires it. Multicast is implemented most commonly in IP multicast which is further could be employed in internet protocol applications of streaming media. In the IP multicast the implementation of the multicast concept occurs at the IP routing level where routers create optimal distribution paths for datagram sent to a multicast destination address. At the Data Link Layer, multicast describes one-to-many distribution such as Ethernet multicast addressing, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) point-to-multipoint virtual circuits (P2MP) multicast. In this paper we have compared various multicasting mechanisms. The comparison is done on the basis of various factors like complexity, overhead, maintenance, etc. The mechanisms that are part of the paper are a secure ALM P2P multicasting technique for large scale networks using face recognition, IP multicasting techniques and the overlay multicasting techniques. The comparison of these multicasting techniques will help us to design and Implement a Secure Application-Level Multicasting (SALM) P2P Overlay Multicasting for large Scale Network. The main objective of the paper is to discuss all the three above mentioned multicasting phenomenon’s and compare them on the basis of certain criterion so as carved out the best of all which can be further used for designing a secure multicasting technique which can take the best features of all combined together so as to get effective and efficient technique for multicasting the throughput of the network by effective and efficient delivery of the information to all the members of the group. The certain findings can be carved out of the comparison can help us to create a multicasting technique with less incurring of delays so that information can be delivered in limited time span and multicast path length so that efficient paths should be used so as to enhance performance in multicasting. Moreover in this paper we will study & investigate other issues that degrades the performance of Multicasting Techniques for large Scale Network and later we will come to know through the comparison that which technique performs well in these harsh environment and give effective results.
LIVE media streaming applications have become more and more popular. IP multicast is the most efficient mechanism but Due to the practical issues of routers, IP multicast has not been widely deployed in the wide-area network infrastructure. The application-level solution build a peer-to-peer (P2P) overlay network out of unicast tunnels across cooperative participating users. P2P media streaming has become a promising approach to broadcast non interactive live media from one source to a large number of receivers. Design of a live P2P streaming system faces many challenges. Therefore, no single application-level multicast stream can meet the requirements of everyone. The proposed architecture aims to provide higher streaming quality and to provide robustness. In the Proposed System the Parallel efforts have been exerted in the media streaming field and networking field to avoid the problem of distributing LIVE video. The tree-based approaches are vulnerable for dynamic group variation but the gossip based mesh-like topology for overlay network systems allow peers to form multiple neighbors, so multilayered video contents are distributed among mesh-like network. Due to this multisource transmission scheme, packets can be exchanged among clients efficiently. In Proposed, The system can achieve improved performance on video delivery quality, bandwidth utilization, and service reliability when using the peer-assisted multipath transmission.

CD-GAIN: Content Delivery Through the Analysis of Users' Access Patterns, ta...Dima Karamshuk
Using nine months of access logs comprising 1.9Billion sessions to BBC iPlayer, we survey the UK ISP ecosystem to understand the factors affecting adoption and usage of a high bandwidth TV streaming application across different providers. We find evidence that connection speeds are important and that external events can have a huge impact for live TV usage. Then, through a temporal analysis of the access logs, we demonstrate that data usage caps imposed by mobile ISPs significantly affect usage patterns, and look for solutions. We show that product bundle discounts with a related fixed-line ISP, a strategy already employed by some mobile providers, can better support user needs and capture a bigger share of accesses.
To effectively serve massive volumes of video traffic content delivery networks (CDNs) are turning to clients for assistance, creating hybrid peer-assisted content delivery systems. We analyze how peer-assisted CDNs are affected by a number of design obstacles which include: the need of localizing peer-to-peer traffic within ISPs (isp-friendliness), reluctance of users to participate in redistributing the content (partial participation) and necessity to match users with similar bitrate requirements (bitrate stratification).

The Internet of Things, or the IoT is a vision for a ubiquitous society wherein people and “Things” are connected in an immersively networked computing environment, with the connected “Things” providing utility to people/enterprises and their digital shadows, through intelligent social and commercial services. However, translating this idea to a conceivable reality is a work in progress for close to two decades; mostly, due to assumptions favoured more towards a “Things”-centric rather than a “Human”-centric approach coupled with the evolution/deployment ecosystem of IoT technologies.
Estimates on the spread and economic impact of IoT over the next few years are in the neighborhood of 50 billion or more connected “Things” with a market exceeding $350 billion through smarter cities and infrastructure, intelligent appliances, and healthier lifestyles. While many of these potential benefits from IoT are real and achievable, the road to accomplish these may need an rethink.
In the last few years, there has been a realization that an effective architecture for IoT (particularly, for emerging nations with limited technology penetration at the national scale) that is both affordable and sustainable should be based on tangible technology advances in the present, ubiquitous capabilities of the present/future, and practical application scenarios of social and entrepreneurial value. Hence, there is a revitalized interest to rethink the above assumptions, and this exercise has led to a more plausible set of scenarios wherein humans along with data, communication and devices play key roles.
In this presentation, an attempt is made to disaggregate these core problems; and offer a trajectory with a set of design paradigms for a renewed IoT ecosystem.
In these slides, we explore the unique challenges that mobile data present. The high cardinality, low signal to noise ratio and realtime needs have significant system implications. We outline how InMobi tackles these challenges. A specific Data Science use case is also presented. We outline our approach to user segmentation. A brief description of the challenges faced and our attempts to address them is also included.

This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.

The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. 4. Background
• Spontaneous human participation i.e. crowdsourcing is pivotal for future pervasive computing (Franco-
2011)
• The surge of social networks, mobile devices, Internet or Web-enabled services have enabled
unprecedented level of human participation in crowdsourcing which has been branded as “human-in-the-
loop-sensing” or citizen sensor networks (Boulos et al. -2011), Sheth -2009)
• Ericsson predicts that 50-500 billion mobile devices will be in use by 2020 (Ericsson - 2013)
• Ericsson envisions 5G as enabler for Networked Society (Ericsson - 2013)
• This necessitates proper management of CI so that resources can be shared from remote places
• Logical-clustering has been proposed as opposed to physical clustering to efficiently manage CI (Rahman et
al. - 2013)
6. Motivation
• Sharing heterogenous CI obtained from distributed sources
• Publish/Subscribe (PubSub) has emerged as an efficient means of
sharing ubiquitous CI
• By leveraging the PubSub in the crowdsourcing model can unravel the
challenge of sharing CI in real-time

Can the distributed MediaSense platform (Kanter et al., 2009) be used as scalable PubSub model in real-time?
If it does then how does this approach differ from other approaches?"
We have proposed MediaSense as a potential solution to the above research questions
