1. We have conducted some user interview
2. We have created personas
3. We know the usual tasks performed by the user
4. We have also created some basic wireframe based on user feedback
5. A dedicated usability analyst is working on the usability enhancement for the
application
6. Based on the basic understanding Some usability expert Review and heuristic
evaluation is done
So far it is a good way to start with


3. Any Problem?
We should have a usability integration plan…
Why?
1. We don't have all the details we need from the user
2. So far we haven't involve any user on usability testing
3. We should have a document with all the info and details received from user
To fill up these gaps we need to have a customized usability integration plan based on
the budget and time. This will guide us to move forward towards right direction.

5. Solution…
We should go ahead a custom build discount UCD (User Centered Design) process.
What is Discount UCD process?
This is a UCD process to fit a small timeline and tight budget so that we can fix 80% of
the usability issues inside the application…
Traditional processes usually takes a longer time to plan and implement.

6. What should be the plan?
In brief some basic steps to be followed...
1. Identify missing info from the info present about the user
2. Re-interview the users based on missing info present. (at least 3, Recommended 5
persons)
3. Document all the information we have and we will have from the user
4. Update the personas and if required add new persona/s
5. Perform a usability testing with the user based on the frequent performed tasks.
(Think Aloud + Screen Capture = Recorded session)
6. Update the present draft wireframe based on the analysis of the recorded session
7. With a basic functional prototype, conduct another round of usability testing with
the real user.
We are good to go to the production…
