Based on discussions with the IoT implementation and technology companies and Skill Councils and also through study of international practices, we had prepared a list of possible IoT solutions for the Indian Agriculture sector. From that list, we have shortlisted the applications where pilots or small scale implementations have already happened and there is sustainable employment creation potential in the near to medium term. In this slide, we have shown the employment estimates for Agriculture sector by application, by types of job roles, skilling requirement and timelines for these jobs. For employment estimation, we have split each application into various activities, derived employment estimation norm for each activity, estimated the universe and realistic achievement possible and thereby, estimated the employment number for each activity. We have then split each estimation by types of jobs, nature of jobs, job roles, skilling requirement etc. Post that we have aggregated the employment estimations for each activity and have arrived at the above mentioned estimations
