Example: in 2001 Douglas Conant took over as CEO
of Campbell’s Soup and called it a “bad” company. In
2009, 68% of the company’s employees said they were
actively engaged, while just 3% considered themselves
actively disengaged.
HOW IT WORKS?
He made a commitment to his people, embodied in the
phrase “Campbell valuing people, people valuing
Campbell.”
This Commitment works by little thing.
Conant instituted programs to celebrate individual
success, from sending them personal thank-you notes
