INTRODUCTION OF SYSTEM
ā€¢ A collection of components that work together to realize some objectives
forms a system. Basically there are three major components in every system,
namely input, processing and output.
ā€¢ System life cycle is an organizational process of developing and maintaining
systems. It helps in establishing a system project plan, because it gives
overall list of processes and sub-processes required for developing a system.
ā€¢ Systems are created to solve problems. One can think of the systems
approach as an organized way of dealing with a problem. In this dynamic
world, the subject System Analysis and Design (SAD), mainly deals with the
software development activities.
EMBEDDED SYSTEMS
ā€¢ An embedded system is a microprocessor-based computer hardware system with
software that is designed to perform a dedicated function, either as an independent
system or as a part of a large system.
ā€¢ Embedded systems are commonly found in consumer, industrial, automotive, home
appliances, medical, telecommunication, commercial, aerospace and military
applications.
ā€¢ Learning about embedded systems will introduce you to various hardware
components that are used in non-computer devices.
STRUCTURE IN EMBEDDED SYSTEMS
MAIN PROCESSORS IN EMBEDDED

ā€¢ Micro Processor
It is a central processing unit. To make it work we need a lot of external parts called
peripherals and need external circuits,Hence it is also called system of the Board
(SOB).
ā€¢ Micro Controller
It is a processing unit which the essentials parts are inbuilt in a single chip. It can
includes all necessary parts in a single IC,Hence it is also called system of the chip
(SOC).

MICROCHIP IN EMBEDDED SYSTEM
ā€¢ Microchip technology is an American manufacture of the
microcontroller,memory,analog semiconductors which is found in 1987.
ā€¢ In this technology PICā€™s are popular with developers.
ā€¢ Microchip has strengthened security from several angles. They offer crypto
authentication modules that work with their development boards to make
developing secure features quicker and easier, as well as out-of-the-box secure
device solutions.
DIFFERENCES
EMBEDDED SYSTEMS
ā€¢ These are designed to do some specific
set of tasks.
ā€¢ It uses semiconductor memories,but
does not require secondary memories
like hard disk,CD.lt sometime has
special memory called flash memory.
ā€¢ It is designed using a microcontroller
as the main processing unit.
GENERAL PURPOSE SYSTEM
ā€¢ It can perform multiple tasks.
ā€¢ It contains a large memory
semiconductor memories like cache
and RAM. it also contains secondary
storage like hard disks etc.
ā€¢ It is designed using microprocessor as
the main processing unit.
APPLICATIONS
Embedded sytems control many of common devices in use today,like
ā€¢ Digital watches
ā€¢ Traffic lights
ā€¢ Printers
ā€¢ Mobile phones
ā€¢ Mp3 players
ā€¢ Robotics
ā€¢ Climate control in automation etcā€¦,.
FUTURE OF EMBEDDED SYSTEMS
ā€¢ The future of embedded systems includes robust security measures, such as
hardware-based security modules and advanced encryption techniques, to protect
data and privacy.
the future of embedded systems and how they are shaping the world around us:
1. The Rise of Intelligent Embedded Systems
2. The Internet of Things (IoT) Integration
3. Security
ā€¢ The future of embedded systems is bright with several key predictions shaping the
industry. One of the primary predictions is an increased demand for low-power,
high-performance embedded systems. As devices become more connected and
intelligent, they will require more processing power while consuming less energy.
CONCLUSION
ā€¢ Embedded systems is unique and hardware is highly specialized to application
domain. As a result,embedded sytems programming can be widely varying
experience.
ā€¢ It seems inevitable that the number of embedded systems will continue to increase
rapidly.

  • 3. INTRODUCTION OF SYSTEM ā€¢ A collection of components that work together to realize some objectives forms a system. Basically there are three major components in every system, namely input, processing and output. ā€¢ System life cycle is an organizational process of developing and maintaining systems. It helps in establishing a system project plan, because it gives overall list of processes and sub-processes required for developing a system. ā€¢ Systems are created to solve problems. One can think of the systems approach as an organized way of dealing with a problem. In this dynamic world, the subject System Analysis and Design (SAD), mainly deals with the software development activities.

EMBEDDED SYSTEMS ā€¢ An embedded system is a microprocessor-based computer hardware system with software that is designed to perform a dedicated function, either as an independent system or as a part of a large system. ā€¢ Embedded systems are commonly found in consumer, industrial, automotive, home appliances, medical, telecommunication, commercial, aerospace and military applications. ā€¢ Learning about embedded systems will introduce you to various hardware components that are used in non-computer devices.
  • 6. MAIN PROCESSORS IN EMBEDDED SYSTEMS ā€¢ Micro Processor It is a central processing unit. To make it work we need a lot of external parts called peripherals and need external circuits,Hence it is also called system of the Board (SOB). ā€¢ Micro Controller It is a processing unit which the essentials parts are inbuilt in a single chip. It can includes all necessary parts in a single IC,Hence it is also called system of the chip (SOC).

MICROCHIP IN EMBEDDED SYSTEM ā€¢ Microchip technology is an American manufacture of the microcontroller,memory,analog semiconductors which is found in 1987. ā€¢ In this technology PICā€™s are popular with developers. ā€¢ Microchip has strengthened security from several angles. They offer crypto authentication modules that work with their development boards to make developing secure features quicker and easier, as well as out-of-the-box secure device solutions.

DIFFERENCES EMBEDDED SYSTEMS ā€¢ These are designed to do some specific set of tasks. ā€¢ It uses semiconductor memories,but does not require secondary memories like hard disk,CD.lt sometime has special memory called flash memory. ā€¢ It is designed using a microcontroller as the main processing unit. GENERAL PURPOSE SYSTEM ā€¢ It can perform multiple tasks. ā€¢ It contains a large memory semiconductor memories like cache and RAM. it also contains secondary storage like hard disks etc. ā€¢ It is designed using microprocessor as the main processing unit.
