 80 Enterprise Advisers – 39 of those have
been placed this year
 83% EA networking attendance
 22% increase in the number of schools using

  • 2. AGENDA  20/21 network progress report  Network priorities moving forward  Reflecting & evaluating with your institution  Gatsby benchmark gap analysis  Careers programme preparation  Engaging networks ready for next year  Breakout rooms
  • 3. 20/21 NETWORK PROGRESS REPORT  We now have 104 schools/ colleges in the network  80 Enterprise Advisers – 39 of those have been placed this year  83% EA networking attendance  22% increase in the number of schools using Compass+  Virtual careers activities have flourished 80 85 90 95 100 105 110 Aug-20 Dec-20 Apr-21 Number of institutions in the network Total

NETWORK PRIORITIES MOVING FORWARD  Evaluation of school/ college career programmes – still lacking  Utilising digital tools data effectively  Linking careers to the school/ college development plan  Whole school/ college approach; years 7- 13  Exploring alternative experience of workplace options
  • 5. REFLECTING AND EVALUATING WITH YOUR INSTITUTION  Annual surveys  Highlight report  Issues/ risks  Lessons learnt  Employer review  Ensure that a final Compass report is submitted
  • 6. GATSBY BENCHMARK GAP ANALYSIS  The final report is going to be an honest reflection of the year – good or bad  Mixture of YES, NO, IN PROGRESS and % answers to interpret  Target your support down to an individual answer level  Explore the reasons behind the percentage answers – what has held them back?  Look at the trends from their previous reports to assess risks and how to address them
  • 7. CAREERS PROGRAMME PREPARATION  Careers Adviser input – what have they learnt from their pupil interviews?  Sector interests of school/ pupils – create a hitlist  Normalise a blended approach – physical and virtual activity options  Engage governors for sign off  Arrange for their new programme to be published ASAP for employers to engage with

ENGAGING NETWORKS READY FOR NEXT YEAR  Encourage your CL to include careers information in their year 7 parent transition pack  Use their new careers programme to create specific asks  Use your sector hitlist to target specific people/ organisations  Consider Linkedin if you haven’t already – some EA’s have achieved a lot on there  Consider EA connections you’ve made
  • 10. BREAKOUT ROOMS  20 minutes long  One EM3 facilitator in each room PURPOSE OF THE ROOMS:  Discuss your experiences of careers programme planning with Careers Leaders  Speak about the tips/ strategies raised today  Explore opportunities to partner up/ share best practice
