By the end of the presentation, the reader should be able to: identify fiction as a made-up story or book, differentiate the key elements of fiction including characters, settings, point of view, theme, and plot, and be interested in writing their own fictional story. The six key elements of fiction are characters, settings, point of view, theme, and plot. Point of view can be first person, where the narrator is part of the story, or third person. The climax is the most exciting part of the story where the main problem is faced, and the falling action follows and leads to the resolution.
