This document provides information about ECOSS's electrical vehicle outreach and engagement strategy to underserved and diverse communities in Seattle, Washington. It discusses ECOSS's approach of hiring from local communities, engaging through trusted community leaders and places, and tailoring their methods to understand diverse needs and attitudes. The strategy involves focus groups, education sessions, and listening sessions in May 2018 to connect with communities, provide electric vehicle education, and gather feedback to include in a final June 2018 report. Preliminary focus groups identified questions around costs, battery lifespan and recycling, charging access and costs, and interest in car sharing programs.
