This document discusses two different styles of carcinogenesis or cancer development: 1. Cloning style: Cancer cells divide very quickly through the same type of mitosis and genotype. This style sees high doses of cytokines, growth factors, and mutations. 2. Lookalike style: Cancer cells slowly exploit their microenvironment over time through signaling and molecule transfer between neighboring cells. This style involves low/normal doses of cytokines and growth factors, as well as low energy and partial mutations in cells. Cancer is generally a chronic condition under this model.
