Egypt has potential to develop an orange juice export industry by taking advantage of its large and expanding fresh orange production and proximity to key markets. Brazil has become highly successful in orange juice exports due to its efficient logistics network that reduces transportation costs by 40%. A proposed study between Egypt and the Netherlands would identify export markets, develop a cost-effective supply chain for Egyptian orange juice, and create a profitable model for farmers. Key factors for success include efficient inland, port, and international transportation infrastructure as well as storage facilities to maintain quality throughout the supply chain.
