In contrast to Centralized Document Capture that requires all documents to be scanned with hardware and software at one central location, Distributed or decentralized Document Capture software (or Software as a Service) is a welcome, cost‐effective alternative.
To date, Document Capture offerings in a Distributed model have been extremely limited. The distributed model impacts the traditional Centralized Capture licensing revenue generated by many major software makers. Those per‐click counts, seat and server licenses add up!
Distributed Capture systems allow companies to shift the usual capture costs outward to the point of document origin – eliminating shipping, software, maintenance, labor and other costs. With newly‐available Distributed Capture over the Web, companies can shift costs almost entirely outside of the organization, bringing even greater savings.
Most importantly, these savings can be achieved with Distributed Capture software/SaaS systems without sacrificing the capabilities of traditional software.
This white paper describes the fundamental building blocks of Distributed, Web‐Based Document Capture architecture, and share numerous tricks, tips and realities of the Capture process...

Businesses love printing and storing paper. Even with our PCs, electronic file cabinets and the Internet, we refuse to stop printing – and storing even more paper off‐site for safekeeping!
Since we can’t fully eliminate paper or electronic content, we have to identify where it originates. The closer to the origination we get, the more we can reduce or negate the manual handling – and the cost – that is often still required, even with fully electronic or ‘automated’ systems.
Technology has evolved from Document Imaging to scan paper, to Workflow to route the imaged paper, to Document Management to organize our file folders, to Web Content Management to manage Intranet and Extranet documents – all are now united as ECM. The influx of both paper and electronic documents still presents an enormous business and economic challenge for any organization.
It must be met with a well thought‐out Document Capture strategy.

Title: Building Reliability - The Realities of Observability
Abstract: Join me as we discuss true observability, learn what works and what doesn't. We'll not only discuss dashboards, monitoring and alerting, but how these can be built by automation or included in your IAC modules. We'll talk about how to properly alert staff based on priority to keep your staff and yourself sane. And even discuss architecture and how it impacts reliably and why serverless isn't always the best at being reliable.

The swan song of paper‐based business workflows has been replayed over the last 20+ years. Innovators continue to work on ways to close the digital divide that exists between central IT and the edges of the enterprise where paper forms capture stubbornly prevails. Emerging technologies such as EDI, XML, ACH
transactions, email, PDFs, TIFFs and eforms have facilitated rapid information exchange and helped
automate digital workflows. But none has eliminated our business dependence on paper‐based forms inthe out‐patient clinic, on the shipping dock or delivery truck, or the construction‐inspection site. As a
result, many paper‐based business transactions remain.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
