The aim of this study is to evaluate experimentally the influence of quartz dune sand incorporation in the cement matrix by mass substitution at different percentages and diameters, on the mechanical properties of the mortars. Properties of the mortars were determined by flexural traction and compressive strength the results obtained highlight the effect of the sand dune grain diameter on the mechanical properties of the mortars tested. The use of quartz dune sand with a diameter of less than 0.16mm improved the mechanical strength of mortars. Self compacting concrete (SCC) is one of the innovative construction material based on the performance in both fresh and hardened state. Due to over consumption of natural river sand deposits creating several environmental issues, as an alternate manufactured sand (MSand) are being used as fine aggregate in place of natural river sand. This research is mainly concentrated on gradation of fine aggregate to get required quality by examine the effect of different fineness modulus (FM) of MSand (2.5, 2.7 and 2.9) on the mechanical properties of SCC with blending of binding materials as SCC_25FA_10SF; SCC_25FA_10SF and SCC_25FA_5SF_5MK. The test methods that were conducted are compressive strength and split tensile strength for curing periods of 7,28 and 90 days. Results showed that the strength values of SCC with FM value of 2.7 gave better results than other FM values. Hence, it is revealed that proper gradation of finer and coarser fractions of MSand has to be maintained to obtain desired strength in SCC at hardened state.

Natural sand is most commonly used fine aggregates
in the production of concrete possess the problem of acute
shortage in many areas. Quarry dust can be used as an economic
alternative to the natural sand. In this investigation an attempt is
made to utilize quarry dust as a partial substitute for natural
sand in producing concrete. Natural sand is replaced by Quarry
dust at an interval of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%. Mix
proportions for M20 concrete is prepared with reference to IS:
10262-2009 and IS: 456-2000 for the study of workability.
Compressive strength and Flexural strength test results are
compared with the conventional concrete. The strengths were
obtained at the ages of 3, 7 and 28 days. Compressive and
Flexural strength increased marginally from 5% to 15%
replacement. There is a slight decrease in the corresponding
compressive and flexural strength at 20% replacement. Good
correlation was observed between compressive strength and
flexural strength. It was observed that the addition of quarry
dust that would replace the fine material at particular
proportion has displayed an enhancing effect on properties of
concrete. This investigation proves that quarry dust can be used
as a partial substitute for natural sand in preparing concrete.
This study investigated the use of washed bottom ash (WBA) as a partial replacement for fine aggregate in concrete. Cubes, cylinders, and prisms were cast with WBA replacing 0-50% of fine aggregate to test mechanical properties at 14 and 28 days. Results showed that compressive and flexural strengths increased up to 10-20% replacement of WBA but decreased with higher replacements. The document analyzes the compressive strength of light-weight concrete using natural (pumice stone) and artificial (crushed AAC blocks) aggregates as a partial replacement for normal weight coarse aggregate. Concrete cubes were made with 20%, 25%, 30%, and 35% replacement ratios and tested after 7, 28, and 56 days. Test results showed that compressive strength generally increased up to 30% replacement before declining, with maximum strengths of 49.95 MPa for pumice stone and 51.79 MPa for crushed AAC blocks achieved. The study demonstrates that both aggregates can be used to reduce the dead weight of concrete without a significant loss of compressive strength.
IRJET- Comparative Study on Black Cotton Soil Bricks using Fly Ash and Cr...IRJET Journal
This study investigated producing bricks from locally available black cotton soil and industrial waste materials like fly ash. 54 brick specimens were made with varying proportions of black soil and fly ash. The bricks were tested for compressive strength, water absorption, efflorescence, and density. Test results found bricks with 60% black soil and 40% fly ash achieved the highest compressive strength at 3.82 N/mm2, exceeding standard bricks. Water absorption was highest at 12.32% for 20% black soil and 80% fly ash bricks. All brick compositions showed no efflorescence. The study concluded bricks made from black soil and fly ash have sufficient strength and properties for construction use.

This document presents a study on experimental tests conducted on bituminous mixes modified with nanoclay. The study had two phases: the first analyzed the rheological properties of modified binders compared to standard binders through tests like penetration, softening point, and dynamic shear rheometer. The second phase compared performance of modified and standard mixes through indirect tensile strength, resilient modulus, dynamic creep, and fatigue resistance tests. The results showed nanoclay modification improved rutting resistance but standard mixes performed better in fatigue resistance, especially at low temperatures.

In the present investigation work ability, strength and durability of concrete with manufactured sand as replacement to natural sand in proportions of 0%, 20%, 40%, 60% and 100% is studied. The experiments were conducted on M20 and M30 concrete grade with 450 specimens. Slump cone, compaction factor and vee-bee time tests were conducted to determine work ability. Results showed that as replacement of natural sand by manufactured sand is increased, there is a decrease in the work ability. Compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength tests were conducted to determine strength of concrete. The 60% replacement showed an increase in strength of about 20% and other replacements to an order of minimum 0.93% in both the grades. The durability study is conducted by treating specimens for 30 days with 5% concentrated Hydro Chloric Acid and the concrete mix with 60% replacement has given good durable properties.

The 60% replacement showed a 20% increase in compressive, split tensile, and flexural strength compared to the control mixes. Specimens treated with 5% hydrochloric acid showed that the 60% replacement mix provided good durability. The results indicate that manufactured sand has potential to replace natural sand in concrete up to 60% without compromising strength and durability.

This document presents an experimental study on the use of waste foundry sand as a partial replacement for fine aggregate in concrete. M-25 grade concrete was prepared by replacing fine aggregate with 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, and 60% waste foundry sand. The compressive strength was found to initially decrease and then increase with 40% replacement achieving the maximum strength. The split tensile strength was found to decrease with increasing waste foundry sand content. Using waste foundry sand provides benefits such as reducing the cost of concrete by 20 times and providing an eco-friendly solution for disposal of waste from foundries.
GGBS are added from 0% to 40% by dry weight of soil, first of all check the all

Hundreds of specimens were made using marble and granite aggregates from Sudan along with supplementary cementitious materials like silica fume and fly ash. A second part of the study evaluated the drying shrinkage of the high-strength concrete and found only a weak relationship between higher strength and increased shrinkage. Natural sand is most commonly used fine aggregates
in the production of concrete possess the problem of acute
shortage in many areas. Quarry dust can be used as an economic
alternative to the natural sand. In this investigation an attempt is
made to utilize quarry dust as a partial substitute for natural
sand in producing concrete. Natural sand is replaced by Quarry
dust at an interval of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%. Mix
proportions for M20 concrete is prepared with reference to IS:
10262-2009 and IS: 456-2000 for the study of workability.
Compressive strength and Flexural strength test results are
compared with the conventional concrete. The strengths were
obtained at the ages of 3, 7 and 28 days. Compressive and
Flexural strength increased marginally from 5% to 15%
replacement. There is a slight decrease in the corresponding
compressive and flexural strength at 20% replacement. Good
correlation was observed between compressive strength and
flexural strength. It was observed that the addition of quarry
dust that would replace the fine material at particular
proportion has displayed an enhancing effect on properties of
concrete. This investigation proves that quarry dust can be used
as a partial substitute for natural sand in preparing concrete.
This study investigated the use of washed bottom ash (WBA) as a partial replacement for fine aggregate in concrete. Cubes, cylinders, and prisms were cast with WBA replacing 0-50% of fine aggregate to test mechanical properties at 14 and 28 days. This study investigated producing bricks from locally available black cotton soil and industrial waste materials like fly ash. 54 brick specimens were made with varying proportions of black soil and fly ash. The bricks were tested for compressive strength, water absorption, efflorescence, and density. Test results found bricks with 60% black soil and 40% fly ash achieved the highest compressive strength at 3.82 N/mm2, exceeding standard bricks. Water absorption was highest at 12.32% for 20% black soil and 80% fly ash bricks. All brick compositions showed no efflorescence. The study concluded bricks made from black soil and fly ash have sufficient strength and properties for construction use.

The study had two phases: the first analyzed the rheological properties of modified binders compared to standard binders through tests like penetration, softening point, and dynamic shear rheometer. The second phase compared performance of modified and standard mixes through indirect tensile strength, resilient modulus, dynamic creep, and fatigue resistance tests. The results showed nanoclay modification improved rutting resistance but standard mixes performed better in fatigue resistance, especially at low temperatures.

In the present investigation work ability, strength and durability of concrete with manufactured sand as replacement to natural sand in proportions of 0%, 20%, 40%, 60% and 100% is studied. The experiments were conducted on M20 and M30 concrete grade with 450 specimens. Slump cone, compaction factor and vee-bee time tests were conducted to determine work ability. Results showed that as replacement of natural sand by manufactured sand is increased, there is a decrease in the work ability. Compressive strength, split tensile strength and flexural strength tests were conducted to determine strength of concrete. The 60% replacement showed an increase in strength of about 20% and other replacements to an order of minimum 0.93% in both the grades. The durability study is conducted by treating specimens for 30 days with 5% concentrated Hydro Chloric Acid and the concrete mix with 60% replacement has given good durable properties.

Background and Objective Telehealth has become a well known tool for the delivery of health care in Saudi Arabia, and the perspective and knowledge of healthcare providers are influential in the implementation, adoption and advancement of the method. This systematic review was conducted to examine the current literature base regarding telehealth and the related healthcare professional perspective and knowledge in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Materials and Methods This systematic review was conducted by searching 7 databases including, MEDLINE, CINHAL, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, PsycINFO, and ProQuest Central. Studies on healthcare practitioners telehealth knowledge and perspectives published in English in Saudi Arabia from 2000 to 2023 were included. Boland directed this comprehensive review. The researchers examined each connected study using the AXIS tool, which evaluates cross sectional systematic reviews. Narrative synthesis was used to summarise and convey the data. Results Out of 1840 search results, 10 studies were included. Positive outlook and limited knowledge among providers were seen across trials. Healthcare professionals like telehealth for its ability to improve quality, access, and delivery, save time and money, and be successful. Age, gender, occupation, and work experience also affect health workers knowledge. In Saudi Arabia, healthcare professionals face inadequate expert assistance, patient privacy, internet connection concerns, lack of training courses, lack of telehealth understanding, and high costs while performing telemedicine. Conclusions Healthcare practitioners telehealth perceptions and knowledge were examined in this systematic study. Its collection of concerned experts different personal attitudes and expertise would help enhance telehealths implementation in Saudi Arabia, develop its healthcare delivery alternative, and eliminate frequent problems. This research investigates the nexus between online discussions on Dr. B.R. Ambedkars ideals and their impact on social inclusion among college students in Gurugram, Haryana. Surveying 240 students from 12 government colleges, findings indicate that 65 actively engage in online discussions, with 80 demonstrating moderate to high awareness of Ambedkars ideals. Statistically significant correlations reveal that higher online engagement correlates with increased awareness p 0.05 and perceived social inclusion. Variations across colleges and a notable effect of college type on perceived social inclusion highlight the influence of contextual factors. Furthermore, the intersectional analysis underscores nuanced differences based on gender, caste, and socio economic status. The Role of Mentoring and Its Influence on the Effectiveness of the Teaching ...ijtsrd
This paper reports on a study which was conducted to investigate the role of mentoring and its influence on the effectiveness of the teaching of Physics in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. The study adopted the convergent parallel mixed methods design, focusing on respondents in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected, analysed separately, and the results were compared to see if the findings confirm or disconfirm each other. The quantitative analysis found that majority of the respondents 72 of Physics teachers affirmed that they had more experienced colleagues as mentors to help build their confidence, improve their teaching, and help them improve their effectiveness and efficiency in guiding learners’ achievements. Only 28 of the respondents disagreed with these statements. With majority respondents 72 agreeing with the statements, it implies that in most secondary schools, experienced Physics teachers act as mentors to build teachers’ confidence in teaching and improving students’ learning. The interview qualitative data analysis summarized how secondary school Principals use meetings with mentors and mentees to promote mentorship in the school milieu. This has helped strengthen teachers’ classroom practices in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. With the results confirming each other, the study recommends that mentoring should focus on helping teachers employ social interactions and instructional practices feedback and clarity in teaching that have direct measurable impact on students’ learning achievements. This study primarily focuses on the design of a high side buck converter using an Arduino microcontroller. The converter is specifically intended for use in DC DC applications, particularly in standalone solar PV systems where the PV output voltage exceeds the load or battery voltage. To evaluate the performance of the converter, simulation experiments are conducted using Proteus Software. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. The findings indicate that while the buck converter is suitable for practical use in standalone PV systems, its efficiency is compromised due to a lower output current. This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. Towards the Implementation of the Sudan Interpolated Geoid Model Khartoum Sta...ijtsrd
The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to evaluate experimentally the
influence of quartz (dune sand) incorporation in the
cement matrix by mass substitution at different

properties of the mortars.
Properties of the mortars were determined by flexural
traction and compressive strength; the results obtained
highlight the effect of the sand dune grain diameter on
the mechanical properties of the mortars tested.

mortars.

I. INTRODUCTION
Construction in civil engineering is generally carried
out by prefabricated or cast-in-place elements which
require a mortar without bleeding to

II. Experimental procedures
A. Materials
The Portland cement used in this study consisted of
95%of clinker and 5% of gypsum by weight. Table 1

fineness modulus of 1.6, 2, 2.4 respectively.

At 28 days; mortars strengths increased by 9%, 5%,
2% respectively. This was attributed to the
densification of the microstructure caused by the
spread granularity of sand mixtures and the fine
quartz filler effect. In the literature, similar
observations were also made by other researchers [7].

All mortars developed the same compressive strengths
for the same age (Fig. 3), it is due to the setting and

The compressive strength of the mortars blended
(30% SD + 70% SC), (50% SD + 50% SC), and (70%
SD + 30% SC) increased on the order of 27%, 19%,
and 13%, respectively compared to mortar (100% SD)
at 3 days, and 44%, 39%, and 30% respectively at 7
days (Fig.4).
At 28 days; Compressive strength increased by 12%,
10% and 2%, respectively, and mortar blended
(30% SD + 70% SC) had a better strength than the
other mortars, The crystallized particles of dune sand
are involved in the formation of the granular skeleton
and contribute to the compactness of the cement
matrix, which has been confirmed by the previous
studies [5, 6].

D. Flexural traction strength
The relative flexural traction strength of different
specimens is plotted in Figures 5, 6 and 7.

So mortars (30% SD + 70% SC) containing a fraction
of sand dune "D <0.160 mm", had the best
mechanical characteristics for all ages including
tensile strength.
IV. Conclusion
The use of dune sand "quartz" in the preparation of
mortars affect the mortars properties, the compressive
strengths of all specimens blended with (0 mm <Dds
≤0.315mm)were greater than those blended with
« 100% DS » and were lower than that of «
CS ».
The study showed that the incorporation of dune sand
with a diameter of less than 0.16mm improved the
mechanical strength of hardened mortars,
