Just over half said they are carrying out greater due diligence on cloud providers than ever before, and more than four-fifths responded that they would seek out more training on data protection laws. Snowden has also been accused of irregularities under the Espionage Law for knowingly discovering mysterious national security data. Introduction:
We began the course discussing what John Berger calls “ways of seeing.” Sontag, Mitchell, and Clarke all appear to pick up from where Berger ends his essay and look at what Berger calls “the new language of images” (116). Berger’s prediction or assessment that there is this new “language of images” seems to have come true according to Sontag, Clarke, and Mitchell as they examine what it is, how it operates, and what problems and challenges this new language presents. Berger expresses interest in this new language of images as he says, “Within it we could begin to define our experiences more precisely in areas where words are inadequate. (Seeing comes before words.)” (116). He is concerned, however, with who will control this new language or these images identifying this with power saying, ”If the new language of images were used differently, it would through its use, confer a new kind of power” (116).
Sontag, Mitchell, and Clarke also see the creation and use of images as a form of power and ask questions about what form this power takes, who or what has or exercises this power, and over what or whom is this power practiced. Sontag goes so far as to suggest that photography, the principle medium through which most of us experience images, has taught us a new way of being in the world as it “changes the terms of confinement in the cave, our world” (3). She also argues “In teaching us a new visual code, photographs alter and enlarge our notions of what is worth looking at and what we have a right to observe” (3). Mitchell refers to images’ “potency” and describes “the ancient superstitions about images” which claims “they make people do irrational things, that they are potentially destructive forces that seduce and lead us astray” and says we still believe these things despite claiming that we don’t (19). In the ELL classroom, I use a variety of assessment tools to monitor my students progress. The teachers access their academic subjects using modified versions of reg assessment tools.

Oral language is assessed through the trained ear of the ELL teacher. We check for sent structure, pronunciation, fluency of oral speech, tone, and volume. We use passages, books, photos, and a number of tools to hear our students read. Social conversation is assessed as well.

All ELL students must participate in standardized testing. Modifications and accommodations may be provided depending on the ELL’s proficiency level and special needs.

Exist testing is called “reclassification” of students in DCS. ASSESS scores and MCT2 scores are used to determine eligibility.
Opinion: Exiting processes should include the ability to keep a student in the program if the student is struggling or isn’t acclimating to his/her surroundings. There needs to be a “human component” to the process. We do a good job with that in DCS. At any time, a parent can ask for a student to be reclassified back into the program.

You also learn that officers did not read him his rights before asking him questions regarding the scene and recognize this might be a problem in the case. The crime scene had been entered already by several police officers who stopped by to visit the crime scene, and office management had also stopped by. The 14-year-old female was also at the crime scene, and your partner is interviewing her on the scene to find out what happened.

Introduction:
We began the course discussing what John Berger calls “ways of seeing.” Sontag, Mitchell, and Clarke all appear to pick up from where Berger ends his essay and look at what Berger calls “the new language of images” (116). Berger’s prediction or assessment that there is this new “language of images” seems to have come true according to Sontag, Clarke, and Mitchell as they examine what it is, how it operates, and what problems and challenges this new language presents. Berger expresses interest in this new language of images as he says, “Within it we could begin to define our experiences more precisely in areas where words are inadequate. (Seeing comes before words.)” (116). He is concerned, however, with who will control this new language or these images identifying this with power saying, ”If the new language of images were used differently, it would through its use, confer a new kind of power” (116).
Sontag, Mitchell, and Clarke also see the creation and use of images as a form of power and ask questions about what form this power takes, who or what has or exercises this power, and over what or whom is this power practiced. Sontag goes so far as to suggest that photography, the principle medium through which most of us experience images, has taught us a new way of being in the world as it “changes the terms of confinement in the cave, our world” (3). She also argues “In teaching us a new visual code, photographs alter and enlarge our notions of what is worth looking at and what we have a right to observe” (3). Mitchell refers to images’ “potency” and describes “the ancient superstitions about images” which claims “they make people do irrational things, that they are potentially destructive forces that seduce and lead us astray” and says we still believe these things despite claiming that we don’t (19). Like Sontag, he is concerned with what she describes as “what is worth looking at and what we have a right to observe” and he argues “we still have to ask what it is about images that gives them su.

The ELL Teacher conducts the WPAT Placement test for placement of students in the program.

A variety of Daily assessments are used, such as writing samples, journaling, speaking, reading, as well as a constant check on academic grades. An end of the year test is given: ACCESS Test

In the ELL classroom, I use a variety of assessment tools to monitor my students progress. The teachers access their academic subjects using modified versions of reg assessment tools.

Oral language is assessed through the trained ear of the ELL teacher. We check for sent structure, pronunciation, fluency of oral speech, tone, and volume. We use passages, books, photos, and a number of tools to hear our students read. Social conversation is assessed as well.

All ELL students must participate in standardized testing. Modifications and accommodations may be provided depending on the ELL’s proficiency level and special needs.

Exist testing is called “reclassification” of students in DCS. ASSESS scores and MCT2 scores are used to determine eligibility.
Opinion: Exiting processes should include the ability to keep a student in the program if the student is struggling or isn’t acclimating to his/her surroundings. There needs to be a “human component” to the process. We do a good job with that in DCS. At any time, a parent can ask for a student to be reclassified back into the program.

The crime scene had been entered already by several police officers who stopped by to visit the crime scene, and office management had also stopped by. She has two older brothers, ages 6 and 10. Emily’s father is a plumber and her mother is a cashier at a local grocery store. Emily has begun biting other children at the childcare center. You have just been assigned to act as the lead educator in her classroom. The assistant is concerned about Emily’s biting and so are some of the parents of the other children, as she has left bite marks on two children, though the skin was not broken. During your first day in the classroom, you observe the following:
Emily is playing alone with a doll. Janesta, who is 23 months old, walks over to Emily and takes the doll Emily was playing with. Emily then bites Janesta on the arm. You swiftly pick Emily up and tell her, “We don’t bite,” and hold her in your lap for a few minutes. Then she runs to play with blocks.
Later in the day, you witness Emily walk up to a boy in the class and bite him on the shoulder, without any apparent provocation. The assistant quickly picks Emily up and moves her to the reading area and reads her a book. Emily stays there for 10 minutes, quietly turning pages.

A=Antecedent. What happened immediately before the behavior? Was there any event or activity that preceded the behavior?
B=Behavior. The behavior should be defined in observable, objective terms.
C=Consequence. What happened immediately following the behavior?
Function of behavior = this is your hypothesis. Using what you have learned about behavior, what is the most likely function? Is the child trying to get something, and if so, what? This could be tangibles such as access to a toy, a preferred activity or even attention. Is the child trying to escape from something, and if so, what? This could be escape from an unwanted task such as cleaning up toys.

There is no question, when Edward Snowden leaked US intelligence documents he revealed the shocking extent of global mass surveillance in cyberspace. He showed how governments were secretly hovering up huge chunks of our personal communications, including private emails, phone locations, web histories and so much more. All without our consent. Whether you believe Snowden to be a traitor, or a patriot and whistleblower, he certainly changed the world with his revelations. He has sparked a global debate, which initiated the passage of new laws intended to increase our protection from government prying. For the first time in 40 years, the United States passed new laws to control government surveillance. Globally, technology companies have stepped up efforts to personal information. Develop a hypothesis as to the laws that Snowden broke, whether what he did was right, wrong or necessary. Debate whether Snowden placed our country at risk by revealing US surveillance techniques, or whether he has made private citizen more aware of government snooping. Conclude by giving a consensus of the group as to whether Snowden is a patriot or traitor, and explain whether Snowden should be pardoned and permitted to return to the United States.
