Education develops the intellect and gives society the potential for development and success. It is classified as formal or nonformal. Formal education occurs in a classroom with a curriculum and grading, while nonformal education enables learning of skills and knowledge through structured experiences to develop values and beliefs. Education creates a productive citizenry by equipping people with knowledge and skills to contribute to systems and institutions, and allows for self-actualization by helping people determine their strengths and weaknesses to reach their full potential. Primary education is declared a basic human right by UNESCO as it promotes freedom, empowerment and development benefits.
