  1. Candles in the Dark - Sixth graders in Makawao, Hawaii, selected a photo from the U.S. Holocaust Museum’s website, and then wrote a poem about the photo. The Canterbury digiTales Project - After studying Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales, students in San Jose, California created their own fictional pilgrim and a corresponding "digiTale," — a digital movie based on their character — to increase their understanding of the dynamics of literary point-of-view. Modern Interpretation of Classic Poetry - Working in small groups, students in Palmetto, Florida, chose a poem to interpret.
