Animal Wolverine Research Paper
Have you ever heard of the animal, the wolverine? If not sit and listen. The wolverine is the
greatest animal out of the millions in the world. The reason my paragon animal is the best out of
every animal is because the wolverine is an unmovable force that can take on anything three
times its size. Now this amazing creature is a step up from everyday animals like cats, dogs, and
fish. It can survive in many different climates unlike other animals. They can travel for hundreds
of miles for food and to find their mates. These animals have only one mate for their entire lives.
So they are loyal. This animal is known for scaring off many predators including grizzlies,
wolves, and the list goes on. This is just to show their claws are pretty sharp. Many people try to
compare it to the wolf, but the wolverine would destroy it. There is no question that this animal is
the top dog over everybody. Lastly, everyone beware because the wolverine is out and about, so
watch your back next time you go through the woods.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These creatures have been talked about for centuries. They are used in lots of old folktales and
myths. The Indians thought of them as a gateway to the spirit world. They were seen as god like
creatures to many tribes including the most famous for these myths is the Innu tribe. The
Kuekuatsheu is the Innu Wolverine, a conniving trickster character who lies, cheats, is greedy, and
basically acts completely inappropriately by Innu standards. This quote was by the Native
American Languages. Another myth is that they give you good fortune and will bless your
offspring. This can be seen in a popular anime series called the avatar. As you can see there is more

him and severs any motherly feelings she had left for Dave. You are a nobody! An It! You are

as if he is sub human making it easier to inflict inhuman punishment such as forcing him to drink
ammonia, stabbing him in the stomach, burning his arm on a gas stove, and forcing him to eat
his own vomit. These are things a mother could never imagine doing to her child, which why it
is evident that his mother no longer saw him as her son, and only something she could torcher
and blame for the things that she herself had done wrong in her life. Because she no longer
called him by his name she is able to treat him dreadfully and not be unsettled by her conscience.
She took away her sons childhood because she believed that he was not worthy of living a normal
human life, she took humanity away from him and made him feel like he was the evil and deserve

Research Paper On Animals In Slaughterhouses
Every year about 56 billion animals in the United States are massacred by humans. These innocent
animals are slaughtered for our taste enjoyment and fashion. Pigs, cows, and chickens are being
treated inadequate living conditions slaughterhouses. Instead of animals, they are treated like
property and objects. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals exclaims, On today s factory
farms, animals are crammed by the thousands into filthy, windowless sheds and stuffed into wire
cages, metal crates, and other torturous devices. These animals will never raise their families, root
around in the soil, build nests, or do anything that is natural and important to them. The employs are
not responsible with the animals. Famous brands, like Tyson spend such little money on what the
animals are raised in that tons of the animals die before they make it to their slaughter day. These
innocent animals do not see the sun s warm rays and get fresh air until they re on their way to the

Just like the pigs, it s supposed to shoot a pencil sized bullet through the cow s brain to make it

Essay On The Concept Of Limited Liability And The...
The Concept of Limited Liability and the Christian Worldview.
Morality cannot be legislated, but behavior can be regulated. Judicial decrees may not change the
heart, but they can restrain the heartless (Martin Luther King, Jr., Strength to Love, 1963). These
words of Martin Luther King, Jr. speaks volume to the society that we find ourselves. It is very
rare to come across business owners like Frank who wants to do what is right; first of all, by God
and secondly by the laws of the country. According to Henry Cheeseman, a limited liability
company is an unincorporated business entity that combines the most favorable attributes of general
partnerships, limited partnership, and corporations (Business Law: Legal Environment Online
Commerce, Business Ethics, and International Issue). The overall advantages of a limited liability
company include personal liability protection, business liability protection, no ownership
restrictions, flexible tax statues, no separate tax returns, no double taxation and flexible profit
distribution. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Frank has the right to form any type of business which he desires so far as its in line with the
laws of the state. Now Frank chooses the limited liability company with a lot of advantages.
There is nothing wrong with choosing sometimes that works for us so far as its in line with the
law or with the bible if we are Christians. The problem comes when there us an abuse of the
system. Limited Limited Company has a lot of advantages to the owners. What happens when
there is an abuse of those advantages. One of the protections of limited liability company is asset
protection. It will be ethical wrong to abuse this protection. One way that this protection can be
abused is by intentional securing credit to buy personal assets knowing very well that should the

The Legacy Of Laurance Rockefeller Essay
Laurance Rockefeller was regarded as an incredibly important figure in environmentalism. He was
very generous with his money, giving it away in the effort to protect special landscapes.
Furthermore his money, family, and donations helped him reached very high environmental
positions. The Rockefeller Family, the Power Elite, and Noblesse Oblige, can help explain some
Laurances life in context. In or der to explain how Laurance climbed his way to the top
environmentally, one must start with his family.
Laurance decscended from the incredibly notable Rockefeller family. The Rockefeller family were
known for their incredible wealth, and prosperity. They are proclaimed as one of the richest
families in the world, and are forever known for their wealth. Rockefellers wealth partially
allowed him to make some of his greatest contributions to the environmental society. In order to
explain Rockefeller s immense wealth, one must go backwards to his grandfather, John Davison
Rockefeller Sr. John Davison Rockefeller Sr. was born on July 8, 1839. John D. Rockefellerwas
born into a relatively well off family, his father was a lumber salesman, and a farmer. His mother
was an extremely strict women, and raised John and his siblings firmly. After John graduated from

My Internship And The Washington Center Program
From the beginning of my internship to the end, my plans for the future have become even clearer
as I have completed my internship and the program. I came into this internship with a general idea
of what I wanted my future to look like, such as getting my masters, joining the military, and
working for federal law enforcement. However, now after completing my internship and The
Washington Center program I have a better idea of what I want my immediate futureto look like
after I graduate college. I plan to apply to as numerous agencies as possible in the fall and if I get
hired on, I will join the reserves. If I do not get hired, I will join active duty, and as I become
more experienced I will continue to apply to agencies until I am able to get a job in a federal
agency. I feel more equipped for a job in law enforcement after I have expanded my knowledge

Six Major Prison Gangs Research Paper
In the California jail system there are six major prison gangs. The major prison gangs are the
Nuestra Familia, the Mexican Mafia, the Aryan Brotherhood, the Black Guerrilla Family, the
Northern Structure, or the Nazi Low Riders. There is such a high level of rivalry among gangs
that if a member of one group is released too close to another group of gang members then things
could explode violently because of the rivalry that is present and they could attack one another.
The prisoners must be released in careful order to maintain the peace in. Once the inmates are

Mt. Vesuvius is a volcano that is located near the Bay of Naples in Italy and is hundred of

A.D. when it buried the ancient Roman city of Pompeii . A witness write that the dust poured
across the land like a flood . Two thousand people died and the city of Pompeiiwas left abandoned
for almost as many years for each person that died. When a group of archaeologists rediscovered
the site in year 1748 they were shocked to see that the city was almost completely intact under the
ash and debris from the eruption that happened long ago. The skeletons of people and artifacts

erupting for generations before the dreaded 79 A.D eruption. For example the 1780 B.C eruption
was an unusually violent one and is known today as the Avellino eruption. This eruption sent
superheated lava, ash and rocks about 22 miles into the sky. That ancient catastrophe destroyed
almost every village farm and house within the 15 mile radius of the mountain. Mt. Vesuvius Is

China And The Implementation Of Pinyin
Over Population in China and the implementation of Pinyin In response to massive over
population in China, the Chinese over has taken drastic measures to reduce the nation s
population. The first step that was implemented was the one child policy also known as; pinyin.
Pinyin is the one child limitation on the majority of families that live in the People s Republic of
China. It is enacted under the official family planing policy. It limits the number of children
marries urban couples to have to one. The exceptions only apply to those who are: ethic
minorities, rural families who depend on children for farming and, parents without any siblings
themselves. The Chinese government has given an official statement saying that roughly to 35
to 40 percent of the Chinese population falls under the one child rule. The higher ups in the
government bureaucracy who mostly live in Macau and some parts of Hong Kong are not
affected by this policy as well. The policy was brought up by the government in 1978 but, was
officially enacted to first born children in 1979. Like today, China was dealing with many social,
economic, and environmental problems. Pinyin was a response to alleviate these problems.
Chinese authorities claimed that pinyin has prevented around 250 to 300 million births from the
time of its implementation in 1979 to the year 2010(SOURE CITATION). There is still
controversy within and outside of china for use of this policy. Because of the manner that policy

Mass Extinction
Extinction is the end of an organism or group of taxa. Extinctions occur when a species becomes
unfit for survival in its natural habitat usually to be replaced by another, better suited species. An
organism becomes ill suited for survival because its environment is changed or because its
relationship to other organisms is altered as stated from Credo Reference. The moment of extinction
is generally considered to be the death of the last individual of that particular species. Mass
extinctions, however, are rare events that only happen every few million years. Only recently have
these events been recorded and scientist have become alarmed at these recent extinctions. Most
extinctions aren t even documented and some predict that most of... Show more content on

They believe that a large asteroid was the cause of Cretaceous mass extinction. A large crater was
found in the Caribbean Sea near the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, which is about 65 million years
old. (Campell)
A large impact from an asteroid like this would cause global darkness from the amounts of dust
sent into the air. This dust would stop photosynthesis for plants which in all would affect every
source of live in the area (Thomas). This darkness would also cause the area to cool which could
also kill off organisms. Another would be an impact from a comet, such as the comet that exploded
above southeastern Siberia in 1908 (Thomas). The last factor is a Supernova explosion, which isn t
the case for earth since there is no evidence that this influenced life on earth.
The consequences of mass extinctions affect biological diversity greatly. By removing large
numbers species, this could reduce thriving and complex communities. These events are random
and effect species greatly, permanently removing species with highly advantageous features and
change the course of evolution forever. Whenever extinctions occur, a trickledown effect can occur.
An example of this could be how a certain plant may go extinct, and a worm eats that plant.
That worm would eventually die out because of the food source being gone. A bird would also
be affected by this since it can t eat that worm which is his only food source. The fossil record
shows that it typically takes 5 to 19 million

The Six Chief Characteristics Of Philosophy
The main goal behind philosophy is to seek the deepest, and most detailed truth behind everything
in the universe. Many different concepts such as relativism attempt to disprove truth that
philosophy attempts to pursue. To understand what it means for philosophy to pursue truth, we
must first understand the nature of philosophy, or what philosophy really is. To understand the
nature of philosophy, we must look at the six chief characteristics of philosophy. The six chief
characteristics of philosophy will help us understand why other concepts such as relativism are
wrong, and why philosophy does indeed pursue the deepest truth. The nature of philosophy is
defined as the essence of philosophy, or what philosophy really is. First we must look at the six
chief characteristics of philosophy to understand the nature of philosophy. The first chief
characteristic is doing an Etymological analysis of the term philosophy. This simply means that
we must analyze the word to get its root parts. If we divide philosophy it comes out to mean love
of wisdom, and a philosopher is a lover of wisdom or truth. Philosophy can be seen as the desire
to know deeply the world that is around us. The next chief characteristic is the basic mood of
philosophy. The basic mood of philosophy is wonder or anxiety in a world we cannot understand to
the fullest. This brings us to our next chief characteristic which is raising fundamental questions.
These deep philosophical questions, are raised in order to

Six techniques of continuity editing are depicted in the film. These techniques are establishing

The distinctive interior design within the store instills a book brought to life impression that pulls

owners, the goal of the design was to provide a space that did not condescend to kids by using
primary colors and overly childish decor, but rather to create an experience comfortable for the

The bookstore industry in the US is comprised of a mix of a few large chain bookstores such as

operas and published a manual, named Schulwerk to describe his method of conducting in 1930.
Social context
When Orff first read the Carmina Burana in 1935, he was deeply shocked. He used his strong and
enthusiasm melody to give this magical poem a completely new and eternal live.
The Nazi Party dominated Germany from 1933 to 1945, through totalitarian means, which means
during Orff Carl s life time, there are two main epochs politically under the Nazi Party and not.
Even though Orff may despise the Nazis for their lack of aesthetic sensibility, he kept that mind to
himself. The Carmina Burana achieved a huge success and Hitler loves this piece particularly, it
was exploited in propaganda because the innate power generated from the pounding rhythms. After
the Nazi s domination was crashed, the new government took a long time to accept it, since it was
once considered a symbol of Nazi.
The poem
Orff came across the 1847 edition of Carmina Burana by Johann Andreas

Explain Why The Venom Of The Brazilian Wasps
The venom of the Brazilian wasps kills tumor cell The scientists believe that the venom of the
Brazilian wasps could be used in the fight against cancer. The BBC reported that according to the
lab tests, toxin kills cancer cells while healthy cells remain intact. A team from the Brazilian
university says the experimental drug binds with tumor cells and causes the loss of key
molecules. The research is at an early stage and needs further examination to verify is it safe for
humans. Polybia Paulista is particularly aggressive type of wasps that are endemic in southeastern
Brazil and whose stings are not welcome. Earlier studies on mice have shown that the poison can
specifically attack and destroy tumor cells. The scientific team, led by

For the purpose of this study, empirical data is obtained from a retail store at Kukusan, Depok.
A three months transactional data of the retail s costumers was obtained and processed using
WEKA (Waikato Environment for Knowledge Analysis) [3]. The products which were studied in
this research consist of 704 products. These products then classified as more specific categories
(i.e., 25 categories) and listed in Table 1. The main objective of the classification was to discover
a more detail of customers shopping patterns. Another objective was to avoid bias in the data
processing. The first step was to choose which transactions to be included in this study. We sorted
and selected transactions that had two or more product categories, which consist of 1049
transactions. These transactions were then converted to ARFF format [4]. WEKA expects the data
to be in ARFF format, therefore it is necessary to

The Great Depression
The only thing we have to fear is fear itself, is a famous quote once said during the Great
Depression by Franklin D. Roosevelt. After one world war, great financial fallout, and another
world war to follow, the twentieth century was already shaping out to be a handful. When the
Great Depression was coming to an end and the economy was trying to turn around, jobs started
opening up and a new wave of immigrants came into New York, the Puerto Ricans. For some the
American dream was to come to America and start a new life, but for others already here, it was
about making it big in show business. West Side Story , a twentieth century musical, was greatly
influenced by the immigration during that time.
Before West Side Story was written, there were some major events that occurred. For instance, in
1914 America entered WWI. Then in 1920, women were given the right to vote and women s
suffrage was a big focus of the twenties (Unstend 6). Soon after in October of 1929, the Great
Depression followed, causing massive economic downfall to the United States. Families during
that time were very poor, but millions still went to watch films at local theaters (Unstend 12). One
technological advance was the first television which began in 1936 (Unstend 30). After the Great
Depression hit, WWII came shortly after and America entered the war on December 7, 1941 after
Japan attacked Pearl Harbor (Unstend 18). In 1945, the U.S. possessed the atomic bomb helping to

The five stages of change are precontemplation, contemplation, preparation, action and maintenance.
Dr. John Norcross mentions in this video that everyone comes to a different place (Stages of

change entail. StageOne Precontemplationers, as described by Dr. John Norcross (2010) in the

could think about for that five months. Every time I got stressed, I wanted to use again. I found
myself putting myself in situations on purpose, with the thought, and intent of using again, but
never did thank God! After I made the commitment to not think that way anymore, I put myself

most difficult to get through for me the first time twenty years ago, when it was court ordered,

Throughout the duration of this course, the underlying objective of each firm has been to maximize
profits. Achieving and maintaining its competitive advantage is one of the best means for any
business to insure a constant stream of revenue. The type of market in which a firm operates is also
an important contributor to its financial success. Disney and Pixar are competitors in the film

allow a reasonable amount of autonomy to Pixar. If he doesn t act to retain talent, he could
potentially lose the most expensive computers ever sold , as noted by Lawrence Haverty in the
Disney article. Decreased morale and misplaced identity are two major challenges Iger could
potentially face with the Pixar acquisition. This could lead to a loss of talent and decrease in
quality efficiency. Iger should meet this challenge with transformational leadership. He should

Essay On Macromolecules
Introduction
The main objective of the laboratory experiment was to test for the presence of protein, starch,
glycogen, and reducing sugars in 12 different samples using various assessments in order to
ultimately identify the unknown sample #26 as one of the four macromolecule groups.
Macromolecules consist of polymers formed by the linkage of small subunits called monomers
(Alberts et al., 2014). The four major groups are carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids
(Alberts et al., 2014). The 12 samples that were tested on in this laboratory experiment included
protein, beer, distilled water, honey, 0.3% glucose1 phosphate, and 1% glucose, maltose, sucrose,
lactose, glycogen, and starch solutions, as well as the unknown sample #26. In order to identify
whether or not a macromolecule is present in a sample solution, each test has positive and negative
controls. In this case, a positive control reveals that the specific macromolecule being tested for is
present, whereas a negative control indicates that a reaction did not occur and the macromolecule
being tested for is not present (Johnson Besselsen, 2002).
The first test that was conducted was the biuret test to identify the presence of proteins, which are
polymers of amino acid subunits held together ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

end of the straight chain sugar molecule reduces the Cu2+ ions in the Benedict s solution, which

if reducing sugars were not present in the sample, the final colour of the solution would be blue

the situation of the workers in Quebec with slavery, and labeled bankers, politicians, and many

Holden Caulfield s The Catcher Of The Rye
It is evident that the protagonist, Holden Caulfield suffers from depression due to the death of his
younger brother, Allie in The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. Due to Allie s death, Holden s
actions elicit his own views of the world and the phonies around him. Holden has tunnel vision to
living a simple, happy life and isolates himself from those around him who understand the concept
of growing up. Salinger uses a hat, a museum, and a merry go round to illuminate Holden s emotion,
the notion of adulthood, and the reality of growing up. Sigmund Freuds psychoanalytic theory and
the studies of Ego, Superego, and Id are used to show the significance of Holden s behavior in The
Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger.
The unconventional hat that is in Holden s possession symbolizes his wish to hold onto the
simplicity of childhood and separate himself from the phonies that surround him. The hat also
comforts Holden in the aspect that it holds onto his brother s childhood that was lost due to his
premature death. Holden is terrified of growing up due to the fact that it leads to the phoniness of
adulthood. It is justified throughout the novel that Holden believes no one acts how they truly feel;
and it is hard to trust and be trusted. The hat offers Holden quite a lot of protection (213). However,
he is not so fond of wearing the hat because he doesn t want to stand out and draw unwanted
attention to himself; causing conflicting thoughts in Holden s mind that leads

configuration files and software updates for network switches and routers. It uses ports for
communications and also uses encryption to protect the information being received and sent.
Differences between HTTP and FTP :
The difference between the two is that
HTTP is a protocol used by the World Wide Webthat allows the transfer of files from a web server
to a user s web browser for viewing web pages on the Internet, while the FTP protocol is used to
transfer files from a computer to and from an FTP server. FTP facilitates the transfer of files from
one computer to another.
HTTP transfers only web page content to the browser so as to view it. The transferred file is not
saved in the memory space. FTP, on the other hand, transfers the whole file to the another computer,
and the file is saved in memory.

in the book and I can respect the decision to ban it, but it was banned from the country but that was

Throughout history people invent more and more things to try to make life easier. Some
inventions are unnoticed, while others make differences. The invention of the wheel and
currency have made important differences in the course of human civilization by the wheel
enabling things to be effortless and by currency contributing power and control over people and
causing conflicts. Back in 3500 B.C., the wheel was invented. This simple creation has greatly
impacted human civilization. It was first designed as a pottery wheel, enabling people to easily
create pots vases, and other pottery more efficiently than with their hands. Over the years,
people began using the pottery wheel to make beautiful art, as well. People can make intricate
designs on vases as beautiful art to put on display. It has made an important difference in the
course of human civilization as the pottery wheel by providing a more productive and practical
way to make pottery and furnishing an outlet for people to express themselves through pottery
art. The wheel did not stop at pottery. Pulleys utilize the wheel to lift heavy objects effortlessly.

substance measured into them was also a crude approximation on its own. This meant that each
time a sample was heated the rate of the evaporation happened at a completely different rate which
could have attributed the yield of a range of different results. Also when taking into consideration
the aforementioned minor residue of water after heating a greater uncertainty is created where one

Summary Of The Exegesis Of Rappaccini s Daughter
Though the two previously analyzed parabolic short stories assist in showing Hawthorne s
writing style and goals, the exegesis of his most convoluted and allegorical story, Rappaccini s
Daughter, truly accomplishes this exposition of Hawthorne s work. In Padua, Italy, Giovanni
Guasconti rents a room with a view of Dr. Rappaccini s garden. He meets professor Dr. Pietro
Baglioni, who tells Giovanni that be must be cautious of Rappaccini since he is heartless and
cares only about his scientific work. Giovanni notices Rappaccini s beautiful daughter, Beatrice,
as falls in love. They meet with each other several times and Giovanni realizes he has become
poisonous, as plants are dying in his hands. Baglioni reveals that Beatrice has grown up
constantly exposed to poison and is poisonous herself, so he gives Giovanni a vial of medicine to
give to Beatrice as a cure, but when she takes it she promptly dies. Literary critic Roy R. Male
introduces the involved nature of the story and expresses, This complexity manifests itself first in
the objects of the garden, the Eden of the present world (Male). Just like The Birthmark, Rappaccini
s Daughtertells of death caused by human pride, but this is trivial. The allegorical nature of this
story lies in its biblical connection. Rappaccini s garden symbolizes the garden of Eden and the
story and its characters directly follow that of the creation of man, the creation of sin and the
breakage of worldly perfection. Giovanni represents Adam, Beatrice is Eve, Rappaccini plays
God and Baglioni acts as Satan. Giovanni and Beatrice are Adam and Eve since they are two
innocent characters who fall victim to the deception and sinful malicious intent of Baglioni.
Rappaccini is God because his primary role is to create and construct. Since Hawthorne makes an
allegorical link to the Garden of Eden, the story can be perceived in the context of the New
Testament. Assuming the reader comprehends Hawthorne s connection, they are then able to
interpret a much more involved story with greater insight. Rappaccini s Daughter can be
interpreted as a parable, but can also be seen as the more complex allegorythat it is. Further,
Hawthorne exposes a duality in evil through his allegory. Male

Discuss And Understanding Buffer Solutions
INTRODUCTION
This assignment is going to be discussing and understanding Buffer solutions. The basic
principles will be looked at in order to go into more depth to understand the biological importance
of buffer solutions and how these solutions are produced as well as how the body is affected by
this and the adjustments made. This extended research task is being conducted to fully understand
the use and main reasons that buffers exist, not just for environmental reasons but also for
biochemical reasons. The scenario that will be looked at is the buffering system inside the human
body; the human body needs buffers in order to stabilize the pH levels to keep everything
functioning properly.
A buffer is an aqueous solution that has a generally stable pH level; this means that it can resist
pH changes when small quantities of either an acid or a base are added to that specific buffer
solution. However, each specific buffer has a buffer capacity; this is the amount of an acid or
base that can be added to the buffer solution before the pH dramatically begins to change.
However in some cases it can also be defined as the amount of a strong acid or base that must be
added in order to change the pH levels of one litre of solution by one pH unit. The buffer
solution is a result from a weak acid and conjugate base to form the salt of that acid/ionic
compound and water. For a buffer to occur there needs to be equal numbers of moles for the acid
with the hydrogen ions and the base

The Similarities Between Grendel And Beowulf
In both John Gardner s novel Grendel, and the Epic Beowulf, there is one recurring major
character, Grendel. While the same in name, Grendel is illustrated in different lights between the
two texts. The character exemplifies some of the same traits between the two texts, but is also
shown to have some major differences. Comparing Grendels two interactions first, one of the most
significant similarities is his fear of Beowulf, most likely stemming from the fact that he had never
been beaten before. During the battle in the epic, it s stated that, That the shepherd of evil, the
guardian of crime, Knew at once that nowhere on earth Had he met a man whose hands were
harder; his mind flooded with fear (Beowulf lines 273 276). Grendel had become... Show more

In the poem, Grendel is painted as a savage monster, with no regard to human life. The Danes
often refer to him as Cain s descendant, and state that for the crime of killing Abel Grendel will
never feel God s love and henceforth is an outcast. ...Conceived by a pair of those monsters born
Of Cain, murderous creatures banished By God, punished forever for the crime Of Abel s
death....and their exile was bitter, Shut away from men... (Beowulf, lines 20 25). This form of
Grendel is a murderous beast who only knows slaughter of men for the sake of murder, stating that
he, ...fought with the righteous...seeking no peace, offering no truce... (Beowulf, lines 59 and 69).
However, the novel shows Grendel in a much different way than he is portrayed in the poem.
While still a monster, Grendel shows his higher intelligence and human like qualities through his
thoughts. In the beginning of the novel Grendel shows that he is capable of forming coherent
thoughts and speaking quite fluently, and thus is far more sophisticated than the mindless
monster portrayed in the poem. This being said, Grendel does not hate the Danes at the
beginning, even attempting to make peace by stating, Mercy! Peace! (Grendel 51), but denied the
role of friend, he accepts the role of enemy and thus begins the war with the Danes. Despite
Grendel being written in both novels the, he is quite a different character. Their perspectives do
share some similarities but also depict some differences between them. Grendel is depicted as a
savage monster in Beowulf, while the book likes to show the deeper meaning behind the monster
and why he took the actions he did. It truly shows the difference between self perception, in
comparison to the perception of

History, Social Factors and Economic Impac of the...
This current paper will examine the history, social factors, and economic impact of the prohibition
of alcohol in the United States. Ken Burns and Lynn Novick (2011) delve into the topic of alcohol
in America in their documentary Prohibition, and this paper will discuss the events before, during,
and after the prohibitionof alcohol in the United States. This paper will also relate the prohibition
of alcohol to the current drug policies of cocainein the United States. Alcohol and cocaine were
both prohibited in the United States in the early 1900 s. Cocaine was used as an anesthesia and
medication in the early days of America until the drug was abused, and the legislature of the day
deemed cocaine a dangerous drug. Americans would... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She would protest by praying outside of many pharmacies and saloons all over the country getting
some to close down, prohibit the sale of alcohol, or promise not to fill the prescriptions of alcohol
from doctors, but in time the men would open the saloons back up and drink again.
Francis E. Willard would soon become the leader of the Women s Christian Temperance Union
(WCTU), and would form a worldwide version of this organization. Willard would be extremely
well known in America, and she was a pioneer in the women s suffrage movement much like Susan
B. Anthony. Willard s contributions to the temperance movementwere significant, and she named
Mary Hanchett Hunt in charge of educating America s youth about the degradation of alcohol
(Burns Novick, 2011). Hunt influenced textbook publishers to let the WCTU s message be heard
in the public school system. Hunt s efforts were in good practice, and the public school system
would start using terribly fictitious propaganda against alcohol as part of the education program
(Burns Novick, 2011). All of the women mentioned previously were pioneers of women s rights and
of the temperance movement. The men of the time also had advocates of temperance such as
Wayne Bidwell Wheeler who had surpassed the women s temperance movement with the

The Issues Regarding Access Healthcare For Rural Veterans
The Issues Regarding Access to Healthcare for Rural Veterans in Montana
Introduction
One of the biggest problems of the current VA administration is access to health care for veterans
in rural areas. According to the office of rural health as of 2014 there were 22 million veterans
across the nation, 5.3 million of them live in rural areas, and 57% of these rural veterans are
enrolled in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare system (ORH).
Over 20 percent of military service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan reported
symptoms of PTSD or depression but only a bit more than 50% of them have sought treatment.
One reason for this is due to the fact that many of these veterans reside in rural areas ... Show more

This means that veterans in poor socio economic rural areas are more likely to suffer from health
issues that are going to need continuous treatment. This link was made most evident in the
veterans who returned home from service in the Gulf and Iraq Wars due to them suffering from a
wide variety of behavioral and physical issues, including PTSD, injuries sustained from blast
exposure, chronic joint pain, substance abuse, long term effects to substances used in biological
warfare, injuries from working with chemicals and machinery during their time of service (Heady,
Gale). These issues are made worse for veterans living in rural areas due to the lack of access to VA
healthcare.

Titus Andronicus Revenge Quotes
The creator of Titus Andronicus is William Shakespeare. The subject I pick that identifies with
current circumstances is revenge. Revenge is the activity of incurring hurt or mischief on
somebody for a harm or wrong endured at their hands. The literary text I will use to examine the
content is personification. The reason personification is significant in the play is on account of
Tamora suspected that Titus was insane and came to visit him dressed as revenge. The reason I
chose revenge as the theme I feel relates to modern day situations is because, in the beginning of
the play Titus slaughters Tamora s child and when Titus figures out who assaulted Lavinia. The
things Tamora does to get vengeance on Titus for murdering her child, and what Titus does to the
young men who assaulted his little girl Lavinia. The result of revenge in the play is everybody
winding up dead with the exception of Titus child Lucius. I do believe that contrasts with current
vengeance basically in light of the fact that how everything happened except it likewise is relying
upon the circumstance that you are in, yet I don t think you would have anybody cooking
individuals and serving them to their guardians. That is just over the top.... Show more content on

Tamora continues to make Titus reality a horrible experience and she covertly plots revenge on
Titus for murdering her child. Tamora convinces her children, Demetrius and Chiron, to execute
Bassianus, throw his body in a pit and assault Titus daughter, Lavinia. After the assault, Demetrius
and Chiron remove Lavinia s tongue and slash off her hands so she can t reveal her attackers
verbally or in writing. At that point Tamora helps Aaron, a brilliant mastermind, frame Titus
children, Quintus and Martius, for the homicide of Bassianus they are then sentenced to

Christianity in William Blake s Works
Christianity in Blake Theology is actually one of the many topics that frequently appears in a
variety of work of English poet William Blake. A brief overview of some of the author s more
noted works such as The Marriage of Heaven and Hell , The Book of Thel , and Songs of
Innocence and Experience readily attest to this fact. In Songs of Innocence and Experience,
however, a number of the author s poems seem to integrate a decidedly Christian worldview
within their text and the cosmology presented to readers through these works. This proclivity of
Blake s is particularly salient in The Chimney Sweeper and The Lamb . In fact, one can argue that
most of the fundamental beliefs that Christianity is based upon are found within these poems,
which serve as excellent examples of the author s tendency to write poems that adhere to a
decidedly Christian viewpoint. Thematically, each of the aforementioned poems details some of
the central precepts in Christianity. This point is made abundantly clear when one analyzes The
Chimney Sweeper , which connotes situations that are analogous to the redeeming grace of Jesus
whose presence and divinity the religion of Christianity is based upon for sinners: which is
implied by the dirt and soot that characterizes the young chimney sweepers in this poem. Within
this poetic work Blake makes allusions to the sacrament of baptism, in which the redeemed
chimney sweepers are primarily able to earn God s grace after they wash in a river

Analysis Of The One With Five Steaks And The Simpsons
The culture of America was transforming by the end of the twentieth century, and series like
Seinfeld and The Simpsons were transcending television through creative storylines and
outstanding comedy. In the year 1994, CNN introduced the new, hit sitcom Friends; the show
followed six 20 to 30 year old friendslives in Manhattan and captured an upcoming generation by
storm. The idea of friends learning to support one another through professional and private conflict
appealed to the masses. Everyone tuned in each Thursday night and became attached to one of the
show s empathetic characters: insipid Ross, irresolute Rachel, vacuous Joey, bubbly Phoebe,
irritable Chandler, and imperious Monica. Its popularity only grew through each new season as the
actors and actresses developed from unknowns into national television stars. The One with Five
Steaks and an Eggplant in season two exemplifies the show s ability to influence and reflect a
country s culture through its emotional storylines, comedic drama, and relatable characters.
In the episode, Ross s birthday is coming up, and the group is planning something special for the
event. They agree on a gift, cake, and tickets to the upcoming Hootie and the Blowfish concert. It
will cost each person sixty two dollars, but Rachel, Joey, and Phoebe each receive a lower income
than the other members of the group; the extravagant lifestyles of their friends begins to become an
issue. Meanwhile, Chandler is receiving calls from a woman

Miranda K. Walker. An Analysis Of The Exert For Environmental
Miranda K. Walker An Analysis of the Exert for Environmental Justice in Ecuador
Introduction Ecuador s quest for environmental justice, subsequent to oil extraction, is a noxious
consequence of colonialism. Through principles and the aftermath of colonialism, a dependence on
resource extraction has proven detrimental to Ecuador s indigenous population, only profiting a
select few. This very act demonstrates a need for ecological democracy, a demand for the just
treatment of the indigenous, and an inherent disfunction of capitalism. These conditions have
nurtured, and validated, the idea of a resource curse; as resource rich Ecuador is worse off than
countries without commodities like oil. Specifically, this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In the early 17th century, there were around 500 Spanish estates in Ecuador where Native
Ecuadorians were enslaved. The Spaniards profited the most off of Ecuador s coastal economy,
revolved around shipping and trade. This was until the fall of the Ecuadorian economy in the
18th century, attributed to the expulsion of the Jesuits by King Charles III of Spain as missions
were abandoned. Between 1700 and 1800, textile production dropped around 50 75%. As a
result, Ecuador s diminished into ruins, and even its elite fell into poverty. During the end of
the colonial era, Spain s Bourbon monarchs developed a new approach to promote colonial
development. Once Charles III declared a decree of free trade, thus expanding the number of
ports in South America that were permitted to trade amongst themselves or with any port in
Spain from six to twenty four, the region s economy bettered. However, it would never fully
recover from the fall of the textile industry. In 1976, after a Texaco Gulf consortium discovered
mass amount of oil in the Oriente, the construction of a 312 mile long pipe line was
commissioned. The pipe line was gradually transferred to state ownership during the 1970s and
1980s, and for the first time in Ecuador s history, from its new ability to tax private foreign
petroleum companies, the government had its own economic independence and source of revenue,
and created free market policies, dubbing neoliberalism. Its economic growth

A Study On The Stoichiometry
To define Stoichiometry, it is the calculation of the quantities of chemical elements or compounds
involved in chemical reactions. Excess Reagent and Limiting Reagent are key terminology that will
be crucial to understand for this experiment. Excess Reagent are reactants that are not used up when
the reaction is finished Limiting Reagentis the reagentthat is completely used up or reacted because
its quantity limit the amount of products formed.
There are two types of filtration processes. One of them being gravimetric filtration and the other
being vacuum filtration. Gravimetric Filtration is the type of filtration used to remove solid
impurities from an organic liquid. This type of filtration can be performed by using a filter paper to
remove solid impurities by folding the filter paper into a shape of a cone in half, and in half again.
Please refer to Figure 1 as a visual reference.
Figure 1: How to Fold a Filter Paper Into a Cone Place the filter paper in an Buchner flask. As
support, pour a few millimeters of water around the cone shaped filter paper. At this state, pour in
the solution into the filter. Another type of filtration technique is called Vacuum Filtration. The
purpose for this method is to collect a desired product from a mixture. To perform a vacuum
filtration, the Buchner flask must be securely clamped to a ring stand. After, a Buchner funnel
must be placed over the flask. Add a filter paper to the funnel and place a few drops of solvent to
hold

A large crater was found in the Caribbean Sea near the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, which is about 65 million years old. (Campell) A large impact from an asteroid like this would cause global darkness from the amounts of dust sent into the air. This dust would stop photosynthesis for plants which in all would affect every source of live in the area (Thomas). This darkness would also cause the area to cool which could also kill off organisms. Another would be an impact from a comet, such as the comet that exploded above southeastern Siberia in 1908 (Thomas). The last factor is a Supernova explosion, which isn t the case for earth since there is no evidence that this influenced life on earth. The consequences of mass extinctions affect biological diversity greatly. By removing large numbers species, this could reduce thriving and complex communities. These events are random and effect species greatly, permanently removing species with highly advantageous features and change the course of evolution forever. Whenever extinctions occur, a trickledown effect can occur. An example of this could be how a certain plant may go extinct, and a worm eats that plant. That worm would eventually die out because of the food source being gone. A bird would also be affected by this since it can t eat that worm which is his only food source. • 26. The Great Depression The only thing we have to fear is fear itself, is a famous quote once said during the Great Depression by Franklin D. Roosevelt. After one world war, great financial fallout, and another world war to follow, the twentieth century was already shaping out to be a handful. When the Great Depression was coming to an end and the economy was trying to turn around, jobs started opening up and a new wave of immigrants came into New York, the Puerto Ricans. For some the American dream was to come to America and start a new life, but for others already here, it was about making it big in show business. West Side Story , a twentieth century musical, was greatly influenced by the immigration during that time. Before West Side Story was written, there were some major events that occurred. For instance, in 1914 America entered WWI. Then in 1920, women were given the right to vote and women s suffrage was a big focus of the twenties (Unstend 6). Soon after in October of 1929, the Great Depression followed, causing massive economic downfall to the United States. Families during that time were very poor, but millions still went to watch films at local theaters (Unstend 12). One technological advance was the first television which began in 1936 (Unstend 30). After the Great Depression hit, WWII came shortly after and America entered the war on December 7, 1941 after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor (Unstend 18). Essay On Macromolecules Introduction The main objective of the laboratory experiment was to test for the presence of protein, starch, glycogen, and reducing sugars in 12 different samples using various assessments in order to ultimately identify the unknown sample #26 as one of the four macromolecule groups. Macromolecules consist of polymers formed by the linkage of small subunits called monomers (Alberts et al., 2014). The four major groups are carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids (Alberts et al., 2014). The 12 samples that were tested on in this laboratory experiment included protein, beer, distilled water, honey, 0.3% glucose1 phosphate, and 1% glucose, maltose, sucrose, lactose, glycogen, and starch solutions, as well as the unknown sample #26. In order to identify whether or not a macromolecule is present in a sample solution, each test has positive and negative controls. In this case, a positive control reveals that the specific macromolecule being tested for is present, whereas a negative control indicates that a reaction did not occur and the macromolecule being tested for is not present (Johnson Besselsen, 2002). Holden Caulfield s The Catcher Of The Rye It is evident that the protagonist, Holden Caulfield suffers from depression due to the death of his younger brother, Allie in The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. Due to Allie s death, Holden s actions elicit his own views of the world and the phonies around him. Holden has tunnel vision to living a simple, happy life and isolates himself from those around him who understand the concept of growing up. Salinger uses a hat, a museum, and a merry go round to illuminate Holden s emotion, the notion of adulthood, and the reality of growing up. Sigmund Freuds psychoanalytic theory and the studies of Ego, Superego, and Id are used to show the significance of Holden s behavior in The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. The unconventional hat that is in Holden s possession symbolizes his wish to hold onto the simplicity of childhood and separate himself from the phonies that surround him. The hat also comforts Holden in the aspect that it holds onto his brother s childhood that was lost due to his premature death. Holden is terrified of growing up due to the fact that it leads to the phoniness of adulthood. It is justified throughout the novel that Holden believes no one acts how they truly feel; and it is hard to trust and be trusted. The hat offers Holden quite a lot of protection (213). Summary Of The Exegesis Of Rappaccini s Daughter Though the two previously analyzed parabolic short stories assist in showing Hawthorne s writing style and goals, the exegesis of his most convoluted and allegorical story, Rappaccini s Daughter, truly accomplishes this exposition of Hawthorne s work. In Padua, Italy, Giovanni Guasconti rents a room with a view of Dr. Rappaccini s garden. He meets professor Dr. Pietro Baglioni, who tells Giovanni that be must be cautious of Rappaccini since he is heartless and cares only about his scientific work. Giovanni notices Rappaccini s beautiful daughter, Beatrice, as falls in love. They meet with each other several times and Giovanni realizes he has become poisonous, as plants are dying in his hands. Baglioni reveals that Beatrice has grown up constantly exposed to poison and is poisonous herself, so he gives Giovanni a vial of medicine to give to Beatrice as a cure, but when she takes it she promptly dies. Literary critic Roy R. Male introduces the involved nature of the story and expresses, This complexity manifests itself first in the objects of the garden, the Eden of the present world (Male). Just like The Birthmark, Rappaccini s Daughtertells of death caused by human pride, but this is trivial. The allegorical nature of this story lies in its biblical connection. Rappaccini s garden symbolizes the garden of Eden and the story and its characters directly follow that of the creation of man, the creation of sin and the breakage of worldly perfection. Giovanni represents Adam, Beatrice is Eve, Rappaccini plays God and Baglioni acts as Satan. Giovanni and Beatrice are Adam and Eve since they are two innocent characters who fall victim to the deception and sinful malicious intent of Baglioni. Rappaccini is God because his primary role is to create and construct. Since Hawthorne makes an allegorical link to the Garden of Eden, the story can be perceived in the context of the New Testament. Assuming the reader comprehends Hawthorne s connection, they are then able to interpret a much more involved story with greater insight. Rappaccini s Daughter can be interpreted as a parable, but can also be seen as the more complex allegorythat it is. Further, Hawthorne exposes a duality in evil through his allegory. Male ... • 39. Discuss And Understanding Buffer Solutions INTRODUCTION This assignment is going to be discussing and understanding Buffer solutions. The basic principles will be looked at in order to go into more depth to understand the biological importance of buffer solutions and how these solutions are produced as well as how the body is affected by this and the adjustments made. This extended research task is being conducted to fully understand the use and main reasons that buffers exist, not just for environmental reasons but also for biochemical reasons. The scenario that will be looked at is the buffering system inside the human body; the human body needs buffers in order to stabilize the pH levels to keep everything functioning properly. A buffer is an aqueous solution that has a generally stable pH level; this means that it can resist pH changes when small quantities of either an acid or a base are added to that specific buffer solution. However, each specific buffer has a buffer capacity; this is the amount of an acid or base that can be added to the buffer solution before the pH dramatically begins to change. However in some cases it can also be defined as the amount of a strong acid or base that must be added in order to change the pH levels of one litre of solution by one pH unit. The buffer solution is a result from a weak acid and conjugate base to form the salt of that acid/ionic compound and water. For a buffer to occur there needs to be equal numbers of moles for the acid with the hydrogen ions and the base ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While the same in name, Grendel is illustrated in different lights between the two texts. The character exemplifies some of the same traits between the two texts, but is also shown to have some major differences. Comparing Grendels two interactions first, one of the most significant similarities is his fear of Beowulf, most likely stemming from the fact that he had never been beaten before. This form of Grendel is a murderous beast who only knows slaughter of men for the sake of murder, stating that he, ...fought with the righteous...seeking no peace, offering no truce... (Beowulf, lines 59 and 69). However, the novel shows Grendel in a much different way than he is portrayed in the poem. While still a monster, Grendel shows his higher intelligence and human like qualities through his thoughts. In the beginning of the novel Grendel shows that he is capable of forming coherent thoughts and speaking quite fluently, and thus is far more sophisticated than the mindless monster portrayed in the poem. This being said, Grendel does not hate the Danes at the beginning, even attempting to make peace by stating, Mercy! Peace! (Grendel 51), but denied the role of friend, he accepts the role of enemy and thus begins the war with the Danes. Despite Grendel being written in both novels the, he is quite a different character. • 45. Titus Andronicus Revenge Quotes The creator of Titus Andronicus is William Shakespeare. The subject I pick that identifies with current circumstances is revenge. Revenge is the activity of incurring hurt or mischief on somebody for a harm or wrong endured at their hands. The literary text I will use to examine the content is personification. The reason personification is significant in the play is on account of Tamora suspected that Titus was insane and came to visit him dressed as revenge. The reason I chose revenge as the theme I feel relates to modern day situations is because, in the beginning of the play Titus slaughters Tamora s child and when Titus figures out who assaulted Lavinia. The things Tamora does to get vengeance on Titus for murdering her child, and what Titus does to the young men who assaulted his little girl Lavinia. The result of revenge in the play is everybody winding up dead with the exception of Titus child Lucius. I do believe that contrasts with current vengeance basically in light of the fact that how everything happened except it likewise is relying upon the circumstance that you are in, yet I don t think you would have anybody cooking individuals and serving them to their guardians. That is just over the top.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Tamora continues to make Titus reality a horrible experience and she covertly plots revenge on Titus for murdering her child. Tamora convinces her children, Demetrius and Chiron, to execute Bassianus, throw his body in a pit and assault Titus daughter, Lavinia. • 46. Christianity in William Blake s Works Christianity in Blake Theology is actually one of the many topics that frequently appears in a variety of work of English poet William Blake. A brief overview of some of the author s more noted works such as The Marriage of Heaven and Hell , The Book of Thel , and Songs of Innocence and Experience readily attest to this fact. In Songs of Innocence and Experience, however, a number of the author s poems seem to integrate a decidedly Christian worldview within their text and the cosmology presented to readers through these works. This proclivity of Blake s is particularly salient in The Chimney Sweeper and The Lamb . In fact, one can argue that most of the fundamental beliefs that Christianity is based upon are found within these poems, which serve as excellent examples of the author s tendency to write poems that adhere to a decidedly Christian viewpoint. Thematically, each of the aforementioned poems details some of the central precepts in Christianity. This point is made abundantly clear when one analyzes The Chimney Sweeper , which connotes situations that are analogous to the redeeming grace of Jesus whose presence and divinity the religion of Christianity is based upon for sinners: which is implied by the dirt and soot that characterizes the young chimney sweepers in this poem. Within this poetic work Blake makes allusions to the sacrament of baptism, in which the redeemed chimney sweepers are primarily able to earn God s grace after they wash in a river ... • 47. Analysis Of The One With Five Steaks And The Simpsons The culture of America was transforming by the end of the twentieth century, and series like Seinfeld and The Simpsons were transcending television through creative storylines and outstanding comedy. In the year 1994, CNN introduced the new, hit sitcom Friends; the show followed six 20 to 30 year old friendslives in Manhattan and captured an upcoming generation by storm. The idea of friends learning to support one another through professional and private conflict appealed to the masses. Everyone tuned in each Thursday night and became attached to one of the show s empathetic characters: insipid Ross, irresolute Rachel, vacuous Joey, bubbly Phoebe, irritable Chandler, and imperious Monica. Its popularity only grew through each new season as the actors and actresses developed from unknowns into national television stars. The One with Five Steaks and an Eggplant in season two exemplifies the show s ability to influence and reflect a country s culture through its emotional storylines, comedic drama, and relatable characters. In the episode, Ross s birthday is coming up, and the group is planning something special for the event. They agree on a gift, cake, and tickets to the upcoming Hootie and the Blowfish concert. It will cost each person sixty two dollars, but Rachel, Joey, and Phoebe each receive a lower income than the other members of the group; the extravagant lifestyles of their friends begins to become an issue. • 48. Miranda K. Walker. An Analysis Of The Exert For Environmental Miranda K. Walker An Analysis of the Exert for Environmental Justice in Ecuador Introduction Ecuador s quest for environmental justice, subsequent to oil extraction, is a noxious consequence of colonialism. Through principles and the aftermath of colonialism, a dependence on resource extraction has proven detrimental to Ecuador s indigenous population, only profiting a select few. This very act demonstrates a need for ecological democracy, a demand for the just treatment of the indigenous, and an inherent disfunction of capitalism. These conditions have nurtured, and validated, the idea of a resource curse; as resource rich Ecuador is worse off than countries without commodities like oil. Specifically, this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the early 17th century, there were around 500 Spanish estates in Ecuador where Native Ecuadorians were enslaved. The Spaniards profited the most off of Ecuador s coastal economy, revolved around shipping and trade. This was until the fall of the Ecuadorian economy in the 18th century, attributed to the expulsion of the Jesuits by King Charles III of Spain as missions were abandoned. Between 1700 and 1800, textile production dropped around 50 75%. As a result, Ecuador s diminished into ruins, and even its elite fell into poverty. During the end of the colonial era, Spain s Bourbon monarchs developed a new approach to promote colonial development. Once Charles III declared a decree of free trade, thus expanding the number of ports in South America that were permitted to trade amongst themselves or with any port in Spain from six to twenty four, the region s economy bettered. However, it would never fully recover from the fall of the textile industry. In 1976, after a Texaco Gulf consortium discovered mass amount of oil in the Oriente, the construction of a 312 mile long pipe line was commissioned. The pipe line was gradually transferred to state ownership during the 1970s and 1980s, and for the first time in Ecuador s history, from its new ability to tax private foreign petroleum companies, the government had its own economic independence and source of revenue, and created free market policies, dubbing neoliberalism. • 49. A Study On The Stoichiometry To define Stoichiometry, it is the calculation of the quantities of chemical elements or compounds involved in chemical reactions. Excess Reagent and Limiting Reagent are key terminology that will be crucial to understand for this experiment. Excess Reagent are reactants that are not used up when the reaction is finished Limiting Reagentis the reagentthat is completely used up or reacted because its quantity limit the amount of products formed. There are two types of filtration processes. One of them being gravimetric filtration and the other being vacuum filtration. Gravimetric Filtration is the type of filtration used to remove solid impurities from an organic liquid. This type of filtration can be performed by using a filter paper to remove solid impurities by folding the filter paper into a shape of a cone in half, and in half again. Please refer to Figure 1 as a visual reference. Figure 1: How to Fold a Filter Paper Into a Cone Place the filter paper in an Buchner flask. As support, pour a few millimeters of water around the cone shaped filter paper. At this state, pour in the solution into the filter. Another type of filtration technique is called Vacuum Filtration. The purpose for this method is to collect a desired product from a mixture. To perform a vacuum filtration, the Buchner flask must be securely clamped to a ring stand. After, a Buchner funnel must be placed over the flask. Add a filter paper to the funnel and place a few drops of solvent to hold ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
