Abstract:
The article discusses the benefits of diversity in organizations. The author notes that research has shown social diversity in a group can cause discomfort, a lack of trust, and lower communication, adding that research has also shown that socially diverse groups are more innovative than homogeneous groups. Topics include the concept of informational diversity, the impact of racial diversity on small decision-making groups, and how diversity promotes hard work, diligence, and creativity.

THE FIRST THING to acknowledge about diversity is that it can be difficult. In the U.S., where the dialogue of inclusion is relatively advanced, even the mention of the word "diversity" can lead to anxiety and conflict. Supreme Court justices disagree on the virtues of diversity and the means for achieving it. Corporations spend billions of dollars to attract and manage diversity both internally and externally, yet they still face discrimination lawsuits, and the leadership ranks of the business world remain predominantly white and male. It is reasonable to ask what good diversity does us. Diversity of expertise confers benefits that are obvious -- you would not think of building a new car without engineers, designers and quality-control experts -- but what about social diversity? What good comes from diversity of race, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation? Research has shown that social diversity in a group can cause discomfort, rougher interactions, a lack of trust, greater perceived interpersonal conflict, lower communication, less cohesion, more concern about disrespect, and other problems. So what is the upside?
The fact is that if you want to build teams or organizations capable of innovating, you need diversity. Diversity enhances creativity. It encourages the search for novel information and perspectives, leading to better decision making and problem solving. Presentation delivered July 18 in Entebbe, Uganda. This is a short version of a previously delivered talk on key objectives for science communication. Focus was on focusing on perceptions of warmth, listening, identity, competence when choosing communication tactics.
HIA 2015 - Final
The chapter's Honors in Action project focused on borders and boundaries. Through research, they concluded that perspective is a key motivator for transcending borders. To promote global perspectives, they created a cost-effective template called "Global Citizenship" and established a non-profit organization called the Global Umbrella Initiative. They collaborated widely, developed leadership skills, and presented their work locally and nationally. Outcomes included an approved course, growing online presence, and surveys showing increased awareness of global issues. Future opportunities include ongoing presentations, media production, and expanding social networks to promote global citizenship.

3) However, the pressure to publish has led to unintended consequences like declining research quality, misconduct, and stress for academics as it detracts from teaching duties. Possible remedies include balancing quality and quantity, fostering research integrity, and assessing journals' reputability.

Identify the global societal issue you have chosen to research for your Final Paper, an argumentative essay, and explain why further research on this topic is important.
The issue I decide to talk about is lack of education. Education has not reached its peak due to change. Change is funny as it overwhelms people with different emotions. For instance, change can foster fear, happiness, doubt, uncertainty, acceptance, and love. Further study is required because “while nearly everyone engaged in the debate about schooling acknowledges that more resources is not a panacea (solution) the question is whether budgets can be expanded on specific items in a way that would increase the efficacy of schooling” (Pritchett, 2004, pg. 4, para. 1).

Change is inevitable whether you like it or not, it will happen. It does matter if it is for the betterment of mankind or the destruction of humanity. To be better prepared we need to improve our education infrastructure around the world. The fear of change has crippled us causing our education standards to decline. The reason change needs to happen is because we have become unaware, less knowledgeable, disconnect and less than human. Making higher education available for all would have caught this dilemma sooner, provided solutions using social justice, and replace fear with compassion and the will to act. The truth high quality education is a need not a want.

Explain how this global societal issue impacts a specific population.
Countries with deficient infrastructure are left behind or forgotten. Arditi (2004) stated, “the third salient aspect of globalization arises from the exponential increase in the pace of political, technological, economic, or cultural change. Its impact is undecidable” (pg. 3, para. 2)

Meaning that the future is not written yet. We have an opportunity to change it for the better.

Arif (2016) outlines, “There are factors affecting the embodiment and development of higher education institutions. These factors can be listed as increasing population in underdeveloped and developing countries, globalization, information society, new basic technologies, increasing competition, government reforms, minimization and restructuring of the governments, etc.” (Sari 2016, pg. 327, para. 9). Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development countries seem to use a one-time large payment to pay for higher education which only make up about nine percent of higher learning.

Openness and Equity. How can we reshape Scholarly Communications?
This document discusses reshaping scholarly communications to promote openness and equity. It argues that current research systems operate as "vicious cycles of extraction" that promote hierarchy, hypercompetition, and exclusion. However, research could function as a "virtuous circle of reciprocity" through community building, publishing to share knowledge, addressing societal benefits, and inclusive excellence. The document advocates for open and inclusive knowledge infrastructure to support the UN's Sustainable Development Goals of well-being, justice, and rights. It proposes building scholarship as a cooperative process and designing infrastructure to be generative rather than prescriptive.

Abstract:
The article discusses the benefits of diversity in organizations. The author notes that research has shown social diversity in a group can cause discomfort, a lack of trust, and lower communication, adding that research has also shown that socially diverse groups are more innovative than homogeneous groups. Topics include the concept of informational diversity, the impact of racial diversity on small decision-making groups, and how diversity promotes hard work, diligence, and creativity.

THE STATE OF THE WORLD'S SCIENCE 2014
THE FIRST THING to acknowledge about diversity is that it can be difficult. In the U.S., where the dialogue of inclusion is relatively advanced, even the mention of the word "diversity" can lead to anxiety and conflict. Supreme Court justices disagree on the virtues of diversity and the means for achieving it. Corporations spend billions of dollars to attract and manage diversity both internally and externally, yet they still face discrimination lawsuits, and the leadership ranks of the business world remain predominantly white and male. It is reasonable to ask what good diversity does us. Diversity of expertise confers benefits that are obvious -- you would not think of building a new car without engineers, designers and quality-control experts -- but what about social diversity? What good comes from diversity of race, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation? Research has shown that social diversity in a group can cause discomfort, rougher interactions, a lack of trust, greater perceived interpersonal conflict, lower communication, less cohesion, more concern about disrespect, and other problems. So what is the upside?
The fact is that if you want to build teams or organizations capable of innovating, you need diversity. Diversity enhances creativity. HIA 2015 - Final
The chapter's Honors in Action project focused on borders and boundaries. Through research, they concluded that perspective is a key motivator for transcending borders. To promote global perspectives, they created a cost-effective template called "Global Citizenship" and established a non-profit organization called the Global Umbrella Initiative. They collaborated widely, developed leadership skills, and presented their work locally and nationally. Outcomes included an approved course, growing online presence, and surveys showing increased awareness of global issues. Possible remedies include balancing quality and quantity, fostering research integrity, and assessing journals' reputability.

Identify the global societal issue you have chosen to research for your Final Paper, an argumentative essay, and explain why further research on this topic is important.
The issue I decide to talk about is lack of education. Education has not reached its peak due to change. Change is funny as it overwhelms people with different emotions. For instance, change can foster fear, happiness, doubt, uncertainty, acceptance, and love. Further study is required because “while nearly everyone engaged in the debate about schooling acknowledges that more resources is not a panacea (solution) the question is whether budgets can be expanded on specific items in a way that would increase the efficacy of schooling” (Pritchett, 2004, pg. 4, para. 1).

Change is inevitable whether you like it or not, it will happen. It does matter if it is for the betterment of mankind or the destruction of humanity. To be better prepared we need to improve our education infrastructure around the world. The fear of change has crippled us causing our education standards to decline. The reason change needs to happen is because we have become unaware, less knowledgeable, disconnect and less than human. Making higher education available for all would have caught this dilemma sooner, provided solutions using social justice, and replace fear with compassion and the will to act. The truth high quality education is a need not a want.

Countries with deficient infrastructure are left behind or forgotten. Arditi (2004) stated, “the third salient aspect of globalization arises from the exponential increase in the pace of political, technological, economic, or cultural change. Its impact is undecidable” (pg. 3, para. 2)

Meaning that the future is not written yet. We have an opportunity to change it for the better.

Arif (2016) outlines, “There are factors affecting the embodiment and development of higher education institutions. Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development countries seem to use a one-time large payment to pay for higher education which only make up about nine percent of higher learning.

Openness and Equity. How can we reshape Scholarly Communications?
This document discusses reshaping scholarly communications to promote openness and equity. It argues that current research systems operate as "vicious cycles of extraction" that promote hierarchy, hypercompetition, and exclusion. However, research could function as a "virtuous circle of reciprocity" through community building, publishing to share knowledge, addressing societal benefits, and inclusive excellence. The document advocates for open and inclusive knowledge infrastructure to support the UN's Sustainable Development Goals of well-being, justice, and rights. It proposes building scholarship as a cooperative process and designing infrastructure to be generative rather than prescriptive.

It explores both sides of the issue, examining the scientific theory of evolution, religious perspectives on creationism, and research on how beliefs are formed. University of Nevada Las Vegas and Development of Social Identity and Gender Identity
Gender identity is the self-recognition of an individual's own gender about their traits. As early as three years of age, children start developing individual behavior that is linked to a specific gender, either female or male. In the early stages of childhood, gender identity is evaluated based on the interests that the children develop. Typically, male children are attracted to masculine objects and activities as toy cars and toy guns.
On the other hand, small girls tend to be attracted to soft toys such as dolls and colorful items. Social identity refers to who particular regard themselves to be based on the social groups they often engage with, or they were born to. The development of social status is mainly dependent on the characteristics of the group that an individual identifies themselves with, (Wood & Eagly, 2018). A person's behavior is mostly influenced by their decision to conform to certain social groups. At older ages, gender identity can be expressed through hobbies and interests in individual careers while social status can be expressed mainly through dress code.
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, a public research university, introduced a program to address gender, race, and identity. The program offers the opportunity for scholars and learners to explore and study extensively about social status as well as gender identity. Setting up an entirely autonomous department for the program has promoted successful research into the issues that revolve around gender identity and social identity. The University also offers a range of courses in the field of gender, race, and identity and has continuously produced intellectuals in this specific field, (Coates, 2015). The LGBTQ community has fully been recognized by the institution since 2015. Members of the LGBTQ community often get counseling services from the institution's counseling department. Despite the University's commitment to promoting free gender expression, the institution has often failed to safeguard the freedom of expression for the LGBTQ community. Several cases have been reported where members of the LGBTQ community have been harassed or stigmatized within the institution. There lack clear guidelines and policy that dictates the action to be taken against perpetrators of gender harassment within the University (Harry & Watson, 2017).
However, it is imperative to note that the University of Nevada has remained firmly committed to the development of gender and social identity. Funding of research and support of gender-related programs by the University has played a significant role in promoting and spreading awareness on identity-related issues both within and.

In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.
