2. WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER
I began my editing using Windows Movie Maker however, due to it being
very basic it didn’t have all of the features that I wanted, therefore, I
changed software.
3. As this was my beginning shot I played around with it a lot as I wanted it to
instantly catch people’s attention and display my light concept.
4. GENERAL EDITING
In the screenshot below, I was experimenting with different fade in’s and effects for the shot to
appear. I wanted the shots to appear continuous therefore, I used effects to make the video flow and
to avoid it looking jumpy.
5. I experimented with different speeds of shots and slowed some down to make them look more effective
and eye catching, such as the shot of lights. It also increased the stability of the shot, which was
important as it was filmed without a tripod.
6. COLOUR EFFECTS
I tried out different effects that changed the colour of the shots, such as having
the flashback shots in black and white. However, went against it as I felt it flowed
better with all shots being in colour.
7. VIDEO PAD
In the screenshot below I am adjusting the volume of the song accompanying the
music video. This screenshot displays that this software is a lot more complex in
comparison to movie maker.
8. These screenshots shows the watching process on the software, which displays what is to
come. I like that I could watch it in one box and still continue editing, which was really useful
as I would see something that I wanted to tweak and instantly change it.
