Editor's Notes

  • #2 I would like to welcome everybody today. Today I am going to explain the importance of technology and how it can help our school district.
  • #4 The students gained valuable thinking tools among the use of technology. The students had to use a higher order of thinking to problem solve something we need are students to be able to do when they get into the real-world.Are English, language arts, and social studies teachers all report observing significant change in students skills and knowledge acquired after their students’ first multimedia project. Students also should an overall greater interest in the content in the subject area. Having are students interested in our content is something very exciting for schools and our teachers.
  • #5 8 year study reported average increases 94 points over students who participated in a technology integrated school. West Virginia also showed a study that test scores increased resulting from integrating curriculum objectives for basic skill development in reading and mathematics with instructional software. There have been numerous studies to document student understanding of mathematics concepts from using computer based and assisted software. We can help increase our State standardized test scores by using programs like the West Virginia to improve math scores.
  • #6 As you can see the biggest increase in jobs will be in technology. Technological literacy is essential to preparing today’s youth to meet the demands of a global 21st century society. Technology also plays a pivotal role in helping school communities reach their educational goals. We want to reach all our students and give them the best education we need to invest in technology to help enhance learning and career preparations. The integration of technology is vital for our students to succeed in the real-world.
  • #7 As a school we need to accept and adopt to change by incorporating modern technology. Traditional methods of teaching can no longer capture the attention and interest of students during the rapid growth of the computer age. By incorporating technology into our classrooms we can provide a world class education to equip our students for the 21st century.
  • #8 As you can see with the above percentages we don’t offer enough online learning of how to use technology effectively in our classrooms. If we can effectively use technology in our classrooms we will be investing in our future. Minnesota use to be a leader in education but now has cut back on funding dramatically in school funded programs. As a state we need to keep education and implementation of technology an importance.
  • #9 Technology is a part of our daily lives that encourages self growth and education. Educational technology has been proven to work, and that is why we need to continue to implement it into our schools. As a teacher I can safely say technology is impacting our schools and we need to continue to implement it in our classrooms for our students.
  • #10 I found this quote and thought it summed up how as a school we need to adapt to the changes that come in our society and in education. Adapting to change will help our student in the future.
